Likes

College Placement are very good. It offers avg package upto 5LPA and Highest 25 LPA
Most important point is It is Autonomous college
Faculties of colleges are talented and cooperative

Dislikes

If you are from other state you may face certain challenges in terms of weather
Fellow students can be arrogant sometimes
Difficult to manage extracurricular and academic

Admission:

I applied other colleges like COEP, VIT, other govt colleges. I choose this college because this is govt college and placement, faculty, campus and other facilities are good compare other colleges. To get admission in this college you have to give MHT-CET Exam and on the basis of merit you will get college and branch.Cutoffs vary according to category for Open about 90+

the things i liked about this college is its campus .the college campus is around 35 acres including hostels .the college enviroment is very greenry and it is situated nearby market place.
the college provides various opportunities for their students where they learn about many things and also develops their skills in various fields.
the college helds annaul fest each and every year where students enjoys a lot along with studies.the college management also focuses on students physiques and held various sports event every year.

Dislikes

the things i disliked about this college is its infrastructure,which is very old and they even did not think about for the renovation.
most of the students and teachers including college staffs communicate in their own language where students like us face language barriers most of the time.
the most disliked thing about this college is its college mess , most of the times students have to eat unhealthy foods which leads to health issues .

Admission:

as i said i found this college on CSAB NEUT councelling were and after some research and parents suggestions that for civil engg. this college is good, i add this college in preference list .other colleges like walchanchd college of engg.,COEP,VJTI i had added in my preference list.the addmission process was not that too difficult as the managemnt only verified my documents and after founding all good and fee submission the addmission was done.

The best thing about this Institute is about its placements, most of the students gets placed every year and in electrical department its 100% placement.
A good campus size, around 40 acres including a polytechnic Institute
Around the college a good market place area and medical facilities.

Dislikes

If you have intrest in sports you gotta go little bit disappointment from the college Ground.
Mostly students and professors use marathi language for communication

Admission:

i choosed this college over other because firtly this is a government college which i can afford and able to pay the fees. Secondly I got electrical branch where the placements Is 100% than other branches. For admission you have to clear MHT-CET exam or if you are eligible for CSAB NEUT also you can get admission. After the seat alotment you have to verify you documents and lastly have to pay fees.

The faculties are very disciplined every lecture practical happens on time.
you would get sufficient resources like computer, books etc. to work with.
campus is the best part it has everything you would need including a premium gym, Olympic level swimming pool, synthetic badminton court, basketball court, tennis and many more.

Dislikes

Teacher student interactions are not that personal or intimate you will have to solve most problems on your own or with seniors help.
hostels doesn't have washing machines either you have to wash the cloths or give it to a dhobi who charges money each time.
the Nagpur weather is very extreme has most hot summers and cold winters. and hostel doesn't have AC in rooms you have to purchase personal cooler.

1. Eligibility - Btech in civil or mechanical from AICTE approved institute and min of 60% marks 2. Application portal - CCMT portal 3. EWS quota is available 4.Valid Gate score is requirerd for admission no additional exams.

An honest look at my college

Likes

There is a peaceful environment everywhere is the college from the outer open space to the library everything is well maintained. The infrastructure is good. There is separate computer labs and different infrastructure for each department
The faculty has good amount of expertise. They use the suitable teaching methods for students to become industry ready
Placement services are active and organise various events time to time for the studnets of every year

Dislikes

Some extra curricular subjects need to be included in the studies
The college does not have electricity generator for every classroom
The campus is not covered by CCTV for each space

Admission:

I have given MHT-CET exam to be eligible to get admission in this collge with the mimum percentile of 95. Then through cap round-1 I got this college. I availed the benefit of EBC scholarship which require the income proof of less than 8 Lakhs per annum. Due to EBC Scholarship I got 50% tuition fee waiver.The eam has intermediate to high difficulty level. Admission process was very convenient. The paperwork during this process is need to be reduced.

The first thing which I like about my college is that it is the college of Government of maharastra due to which The tution fee is very less. All the permanent professor are very satisfying in teaching.
Though college is government they will strictly follow the rules in lecture and Attendance is compulsory for all students.
Talking about infrastructure of the college it was built by the British people latter in 1960 after independence it announced as college of engineering. This college is 5th famous college of engineering in Maharashtra.

Dislikes

Not all the faculty are permanent, most of the teachers are visiting faculty. Visiting faculties are basically pass out students who don't have that much experience of teaching.
Rules are very strict. College have grate campus but no one is allowed to sit in campus. When we sit in campus Watchman came and start saying that you can't sit here in 10-5 Time
Most of the equipment in laboratories are not working if we go for complain they just say we have submitted your complaints to government they will be take action on it.

Admission:

To get admission in college everyone have to give the entrance exam named MHT-CET. Each branch/trade have different cut-off. For Information Technology- 95 percentile Electrical - 93 percentile. Mechanical- 92 percentile. Civil - 89 percentile All the cut-off mentioned above are for the open category.

Admission process is lengthy and due to government college we have to wait in line
Syllabus is outdated in college and needs more practical knowledge than theory

Government College of Engineering, Karad Review

Likes

The Campus area is great and large there is green everywhere.
The Placements are also good for IT almost everyone get placed in normal conditions.
There is a Incubation Centre which is great if you want to explore AR-VR, 3D Printer, etc.

Dislikes

There are some faculties who are not good in teaching.
The staff at Scholarship section behaves rudely and don't provide proper details if we asked.
In Labs some Computers, Mouse, Keyboards are not working, there is need for improvements in Lab.

Admission:

Eligibility : You have to complete 12 th Class and then give CET (Common Entrance Test) or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) exam Admission Process : you have to fill CAP rounds in which you choose colleges and streams which you want to take admission. Then after allotement of CAP rounds you have to visit college which you have alloted in CAP round and by completing Admission Process you get admission. Fees : The fees for General Category : 85000 approximately, OBC : 42000 approximately and for other categories you can visit GCEK website.
