Synapse is the annual fest a fun fest with with lots of zeal and enthusiasm .there are many clubs and societies and they provide an opportunity of self development.
I like the faculty and students here. all are very educated and informative
Mamc is among the best government medical colleges in india, so it's is highly affordable.

Dislikes

The dogs in the hostels are creating mess as they are not taken of and subsequently they died of some injuries and infectious following them.
It is stress full, sometimes all the test and tutorials and just simply study become tough.
Building are old and they are not maintained very well

Overview to MAMC life

Most faculties are expert of their field and have various research contributions,some even have written their own books
NESCI is a place where beverages and food items are available is open area near central library which make it suitable fir leisure after study in library and college
Library have huge amount of books,research papers and magzine which can be issued to any student which have interest to read.

Dislikes

The college infrastructure is old and college come under Archeological survey of india so work progress is very slow
Hostels are in inhabitable condition,There are blocked bathrooms and falling of debris from in rooms
All the payments must be done in cash which makes payments for college fees and hostel fees tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The vast range of information and opportunities to study surgery and medicine and learn about functionality's of human body and coordination create a curiosity for choosing this feild. Making files were the worst part because 90% just copy and it's waste of time. Difficultly level is average and most questions comes what teacher highlights

Maulana azad medical college

Likes

a better boys to girls ratio comapred to other branches
well equipped laboratories, and a huge teaching staff
a large institutional building with a good seating arrangement for upto 300 people.

Dislikes

hygiene issues in a few canteens and hostel.
a lot of dogs are there so beware! although they dont say you anything
hostel conditions should be improved, with more sports facilities esp. in girls hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is a highly comprehensive curriculum given by NMC. It is very vast so you have to be ready to study a lot. although most studenclear exams even with 2-3 month preparation. I cannot suggest for areas of improvement in this, you have to study everything at the end of the day. Exams are passable if you study for thrm lol.

MAULANA AZAD MEDICAL COLLEGE

Likes

The college has well developed lecture theatres, with a seating capacityof more than 250 people.
There is a well infrastructured 2 storied library with both medical and non medical literature and a reading room.
There are many co curricular activities planned throughout the year by the students. The student council divided into various field producing a diverse group of interests. The college has its annual fest in the month of september.

Dislikes

The hostel conditions could be improved.
Need for renovation at places inside the college building as well as hostel.

This college is one of the first prefered college in India so thing i like is there will be good talent around you
No caste based politics and minimum college fees
Campus is quite good in comparison to other medical college in Delhi

Dislikes

There is lot of work place toxicity that a junior doctor have to suffer
Very poor hostel bathroom and drainage system
Fest organised by college is not that good

Exam are quiet frequent there Each semester ends with a exam of moderate level of difficulty and at the end of 2 semester you have to maintain minimum 50 percentage of marks both in theory and practical in order to sit in final professional exam which is conducted by university

Likes

The campus is really nice. The college is in nice are with great connectivity
The ambience is really nice, nice greenery is there making is really beautiful
There are many canteens and student can eat in any of them

Dislikes

The area outside the mamc may naot be safe
The girls hostel gates close at 11:30 unlike boys hostel which is open throughout the day and night
The main gate ie. M gate closes at 4pm making it very inconvenient

Mamc : A semi-comprehensive review

Likes

The faculty here is unmatched with top notch professors who are at the top of their field.
The connections you make here would stay with you throughout your career with regular medical updates happening every year.
The associated hospitals would provide a great idea about how to deal with an Indian demographic as a doctor

Dislikes

The cleanliness needs to be worked upon majorly including that of the hostels
The students should be given ample time to focus on extracurriculars but they aren’t
The boys to girls ratio is 2:1 which should be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is pretty accurate pertaining to the practices of a graduate doctor and provides a well rounded experience with ample clinical exposure and textbook knowledge. Addition of more hands on experience workshops as a part of the curriculum would certainly evoke a greater interest of students in the clinical practices. The frequency of the exams could be reduced to take a load off of stress levels in an already stress conducive environment.

Library facility is amazing . It is fully air conditioned and a wonderful place to study peacefully
Mess is hygenic and cost effective. Students whether hostlers or day scholars both can eat their at a minimal cost
Seniors are really helpful and try to help their juniors at every point possible

Dislikes

Tiresome curriculum of this course making it exhaustive at the end of the day

Other extracurricular activities are also available there are societies which are made bay students
It is a top college of india so the faculties are also of top quality,education is priority

Dislikes

Building are old and they are not maintained very well
Since it is a government college the things are happened after a lot of paperwork
The schedule is very hectic there are very less holidays

Days Well Spent

The lecture theaters are the newly built and have all the facilities.
The campus is overall very nice and cleaned on regular basis but the leaves of trees makes the paths nore beautiful.
The projectors are multiple in big classrooms and makes easy visualization.

Dislikes

The Central library is very good but the self study rooms are not so appreciable as the old ACs make noise and hence unfavourable.
Most important thing is the food which is worst in hostel as you compare with food at home.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The term exams are followed amd they are mainly 2 in number folled by sentups with full syllabus before professional exams. You have enough time to read and pass the exams effortlessly if you are concentrated everyday for each subject. The real applications in MBBS course makes you more curious and you can decide your interests very easily and later you can make one choice of your choices. The exams are not so difficult but the pattern of questions is reapeating every year is similar amd rarely it changes. So be prepared for the uncertainties. The curriculum has competencies designed for each year in order to deal with real life situations and makes a perfect personality.

Clinical Exposure- Mamc provides excellent clinical exposure to its students. The college is affiliated with associated hospitals
Campus life- mamc has vibrant campus life with various student clubs, societies and event that cater to different interest.

Dislikes

Being one of oldest college, it is not as fancy or tech savvy as new set ones.
Limited flexibility- pursuing other interest along side of medical studies, but that same in all medical college
It is stress full, sometimes all the test and tutorials and just simply study become tough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medicine is a Noble profession which make smile on other face when you treat them. Curriculum is real world application where you learn real skill and how to tackle problem because it is not only learned lecture in 4 walled room. We go hospital and learn how patients treat.

What is your review of Maulana Azad Medical College?

One of my friends studied at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). According to him, studying here was his best decision. It is one of the best Government medical colleges in India.

Infrastructure:

It is great being a government college.
The lecture halls are good and fully air conditioned.
It has 5 hospitals attached to it.
Hostels are a bit of a let down but they provide recreational facilities like TT rooms, basketball court, volleyball court, badminton hall and a reading room.
There is also a pool for swimming.
Gym facilities are also provided.

Academics:

The faculty here is highly experienced.
Some of the departments here are also known to be better than the AIIMS.

Clinics:

It has 5 hospitals associated with it.
Here due to lots of patients, you will encounter various cases. This will give you the appropriate amount of exposure.

College Life:

Seniors are very cooperative.
You will get lots of opportunities for personality development.
Life here can be a bit hectic but that will be helpful in the longer run.
The college has a very welcoming and accepting environment.
One of the best things about MAMC is its location. It is situated in the heart of the city.

You should also remember that the students of MAMC are the ones that make this college what it is today. The competitive nature and hectic schedule keeps you engaged and will eventually help you in the long run.
