Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is pretty accurate pertaining to the practices of a graduate doctor and provides a well rounded experience with ample clinical exposure and textbook knowledge. Addition of more hands on experience workshops as a part of the curriculum would certainly evoke a greater interest of students in the clinical practices. The frequency of the exams could be reduced to take a load off of stress levels in an already stress conducive environment.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is pretty minimal being 2750 per annum and the course is for 4.5 years + 1 year of paid and compulsory internship in the associated hospitals. First year fees consists of extra 2000 rupees as a security deposit. An extra amount needs to paid for the university exam at the end of each year which depends upon the number of subjects in that year. The fees for all the categories is same across all the years and there is no management quota.

Campus Life

3.5

As a medical student, the time you get for social and cultural activities is limited but we make do with whatever we have and try for it to not hinder with our education. The annual fest of our college is SYNAPSE which is renowned amongst other medical colleges for the array of competitions and performances offered. There are various societies like literary, fine arts, music, dance, photography, fashion, drama, etc where the students can apply and fit in accordingly

Admission

There is a choice based selection in this course where you make choices and arrange them in a hierarchical order and according to your rank you are alloted the college and for me I put this college over everyone else and was alloted this college which has a pretty high cutoff being a go to selection for the students who couldnt score high enough to get AIIMS Delhi. The admission process requires submission of all the documents mentioned in the list provided by the Delhi University and submitting the fees and then coming back later to collect the signed admission letter.

Faculty

2.5

The hierarchy of the faculty goes as follows: The professors majorly take the lectures with the few lectures being taken by Senior Residents (SRs) and the small group discussions along with practicals are handles by the SRs and the Post Graduates studying in the college of the respective departments. There are clinical postings with the students being taught by the faculty and given early clinical exposure from the 2nd year itself. The exams are pretty frequent and vigorous forcing the students to revise regularly so that they are prepared for the university examinations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate

The MBBS COURSE is a professional course and popular course all over the world. In this you have better opportunities after the course you can increase your qualification by MD, MS after MBBS. MBBS is less chance to job less you can do the job in any hospital as a doctor (physician) or any specialist after MD. And also you can start your clinic. Facility students ration is less but it's enough 10-12 members of faculties in one subject but In UCM students also 170 in one batch So the ratio is good Faculties are more qualified and well experienced. Their knowledge is excellent. Their teaching method is really in a good way. They mostly teach through ppt on projectors and mic. Practicals are performed in good way Teachers help every student to perform practicals. 170 students divided into small groups with a teacher provide to every group so you can perform practical in a good way. Term exam held in every 3,4 months and difficulty is not more but also it is not so easy.
