Placement is very good since college had a good reputation.since it is medical college so came out as becoming a doctor so we never think of placements n all we get readilly job in any govt hospitals .

The course is great but it's the think that not everyone should have to join this course according to parents will Come will your own will and then study cause this course is hard as well as time taking that is like a self investment and for a long term.

I like that the faculty of my college is very good. They are always ready to help us out and are highly qualified.
The student professor relationship are commendable.

Dislikes

There are very less social events due to which the enjoyment is low.
If lacks kab renovations, gadgets, instruments and other stuffs due to which it becomes a bit difficult to conduct some practicals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical learning of the subject. It provides quite deeo learning into each subject. As the course provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge it becomes quite easy to apply the knowledge to further academic of occupational pursuits. Also it provides 3 months internship after the completion of the course. The improvement areas are the teaching methods of some subjects like pharmacognosy, social pharmacy, etc. Exams are conducted in a time interval of every 2-3 months. The duration of the session exams are 1and half hours while that of final exam is 3 hours for each subject.

The campus is beautiful and envionment friendly and near the college there is a bank of Brahmaputra river which gives mesmerizing views

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good and some of the instruments in lab are not in working condition

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are three internal exams are there and last final year end term exam . You have to score 50% in all the exams to pass the course. You can go for B pharm after completing D pharm which is much valuable than it. Diploma course includes mainly dispensing the medicines.

My dream medical college

Likes

Most important thing I like about my college is its academics its literally the best. Our lecture halls are very well equipped with smart boards.
Laboratories and dissection halls are also very well equipped. Laboratories contains all the facilities and reagents needed.

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike about my college. Its simply the best. But the college canteen can be improved as the food served is not of very good quality.
Hostels can be improved a bit. Our college is the oldest college of whole northeast so its legacy has to be maintained.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is really very nicely designed to manage our course nicely in three phases Phase1, 2,phase 3part1 and phase 3 part 2 and then one year of internship. The clinical posting timings, lecture and exam timings are very nicely stuctured for our good.

Assam medical College and hospital is one of the medical College in India. It was established in 1947 . It was first introduced under British government by Dr.John Berry White . It has a good campus life. Almost all facilities are available.

Dislikes

This college don't have much for dislikes. But some improvement and modifications are to be done. As it is oldest college so infrastructure are to be renovated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college curriculum is average. There is a requirement of the curriculum system. The division of the syllabus must be improved. Semester system should be implemented for the smoothness of the teaching.

Assam Medical College ~through my eyes

The college , being the pioneer of all the medical colleges of the North-east India, has a good repute of its own. It's one of the most prestigious college of the region bringing hopes for the people in the field of medical science.
The second thing that I like about my college is the geographical accessibility. The college is situated in the Dibrugarh district, in the plains of Assam on the banks of the river Brahmaputra.

Dislikes

The college lacks a proper cafeteria. The college has a large number of students opting for various degrees other than MBBS such as dentistry, nursing, Pharmaceutical etc., as such a proper cafeteria is needed. The current canteen is not upto proper.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The relevance of MBBS in the lives of human beings is inevitable. From the smallest of the illness to the dreadest ones, MBBS can help a particular physician to handle things properly as long as he is well experienced. That's the first thing that came to my mind while opting fo the course . Being a 4 year course+ internship, MBBS isn't a easy course but its application in the real world is beyond explainable. Throughout the year, 3 internal examination are arranged and at the end of the year the final professional exams are held. I personally feel that in today's world where universities are opting for semester wise exams this yearly exams create a bit havoc for the students taking a toll on their health

A Pioneer of Health Development - Assam Medical College

The relationship between the seniors and juniors, as well as the teachers and students here is unique, it's something you won't find in the other Medical colleges here in Assam. Everyone is approachable and helpful.
You get exposure to all types of patients as this is a college of reputation, serving the people in need for more than 75 years now! There are so many people to look up to, great people who have passed out from this Alma mater!

Dislikes

Not much things can be told about this beautiful college that I dislike. I'm lucky I got great friends here, great seniors, helpful professors and what not!
But yet, if there is something you'd dislike it would be the hectic schedule here, but obviously that is unavoidable in this line of education. Otherwise everything is great here and you won't regret joining AMC!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance of MBBS would be 10/10, comprehensiveness to would be the same! Lending a helping hand to the needy is one thing that influenced me to take up this course. I also wanted to see my hometown prosper in terms of health. The current curriculum is great to prepare you for the practical world, although it is a bit hectic and more demanding, but everything comes at a cost. Maybe if they reduced the classes a bit, the students could get more time to study by themselves, it is helpful and required too. There is so much syllabus to cover before every exams it gets difficult for a student to cover everything up. Frequency for exams is like once I'm every 2-3 months. Gets difficult with each passing exam.

My alma mater - AMCH

It's campus - AMCH has a very big and beautiful campus amongst all the medical Colleges in Assam . It's green green everywhere.
The beautiful relationship between juniors and seniors which makes the journey smooth and interesting. All the seniors are very helpful.

Dislikes

As it is very old. Some buildings are getting older they are being repaired.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS course offers much more knowledge to learn about the diverse human body. The new CBME curriculum in MBBS aims to fulfil all the aspects of human welfare which made me choose MBBS There should be more clinically oriented lectures and seminars rather than theoretical aspects. There should be clinically oriented quizzes and more live surgery and other clinical experiences. The exams are much tougher than any exams. The frequency is also quite high. So it takes more time and effort to know everything in a very short span of time. But it is definitely worth it. The curriculum is progressing day by day and for sure it will make useful changes in the near future which will ease the process.

Mbbs In AMCH

Assam medical College is the oldest medical College in Assam so the infrastructure is quite old but they are renovating many buildings

I am pursuing mbbs under cbme curriculum in which we have to appear semester exam and have to pass this exam to appear in professional exam which is conducted by University under sshus . This exam is very tough
