College provides internship facilities for the students for 1 year in this hospital only after completion of the UG course of MBBS. The stipend for the interns is around 30 k per month. Every year around 150 gets internships.

This college is the oldest medical college in Assam. The admission in based on the merit list prepared on the basis of marks scored in NEET (UG) exam. Usually this exam is held in the month of May every year and the counselling is scheduled in the month of June/July.
