Academics as well as Sports are balanced in a quiet good way. Teachers are enthusiastic in teaching and practising the students at their every best.

Faculty:

I think the faculty of our college is best in Assam as they provide their best in giving conceptual knowledge to the students both in clinical as well as in non clinical classes. The exams takes place in semester wise. And the Final exam takes place at the end of the year which creates lit of pressure on the students as it takes place on state level and it also decides your overall performance throughout the year. The subjects are interesting so as the teachers. I love Physiology in my 1st year and then was our Physio HOD Respected Dr. Rajendra Kalita Sir whom I admire a lot. He helped me throughout the 1st year as a result I got distinction in physio in my final exam.

Life at AMCH

The faculty student ratio is good, providing it has the highest number of faculties for each subject in Assam (along with GMCH) They are highly experienced and qualified. They are friendly and we can ask our doubts without any fear. Every department is well organised and the HODs are really good. There are Part Completion Tests, FAs, and importantly 3 internal exams and then the final exams. The course is vast and hence the syllabus is also vast. It's not that easy but passing can be easy if there is regular study.

The faulty to student ratio is about 10:200 Actually the faculties are wonderful and I do like the physiology department the most as well the other department faculties too as they are really approachable and hardworking towards us.

I like that the faculty of my college is very good. They are always ready to help us out and are highly qualified.
The student professor relationship are commendable.

There are about 10 faculty members along with 300-350 students. The faculty to student relationship is quite commendable. We are quite comfortable with them.They are always supportive and helpful. They are friendly and are approachable. Some of my best faculty members are- Swarnali Sonowal,Dr. Ratna Jyoti Das, Rajashree Bezbaruah, Dr.Nabin Chandra Baruah, Dr. B.K Doley. There are a total of 4 exams out of which 3 are sessional exams of 40 marks and the final exam consisting of 80 marks. There are separate theory and practical exams. The exams are moderate. However the failing student proportion of our college is quite low like 5-10 students. The course curriculum is quite relevant.

There is a good faculty to student ratio and has a good number of faculties in all the departments. One of the best teachers I encountered with is Dr. Giriraj Kusre, professor of Anatomy. There are 3 internal assessments and final exams for each subjects.

All the experienced faculty members. Almost all have Phd degree and aged persons . If we attend the lectures properly we can understand the subjects . All faculty members have their own specilization in their field

My dream medical college

Most important thing I like about my college is its academics its literally the best. Our lecture halls are very well equipped with smart boards.
Here the clinical exposure is the best. We get to interact with patients with different health problems

The faculty to student ratio is good. The number of faculties are in good number. And they have got very great teaching skills and they mentor us very well. Their approach towards teacher is very nice. In clicinal postings , while teaching we get to know about their experience and we get to learn alot from their experience . Especially in wards there is very goid interaction between us and the professors and this helps us to gather more knowledge from them.

Assam Medical College ~through my eyes

According to me, the faculty to students ratio is a low. There are a lot of elderly faculties but lacks newer and young teachers. This would have been helpful for the students as well. Most of the faculties,as in many other medical colleges, are unable to treat the students properly. On the other hand, there are teachers who willingly help and encourage the students to work hard in every way possible. They even share their whatsapp numbers to share any doubts so that they can help us clear them.
