AMC Dibrugarh Faculty

The faculty at the college is highly qualified, with most holding PhDs and specialized degrees such as MD, MS, DM, or MCh, and they have over 25 years of experience. The faculty-to-student ratio is commendable, averaging about 1 teacher per 10 students, which facilitates effective mentorship and interaction. There are approximately 10 faculty members for 300-350 students. Faculty members are supportive, approachable, and known for their commitment to teaching and public service.

They employ modern teaching methods, including audio-visual classes, practical sessions, and mentor-mentee groups, fostering a conducive learning environment. The curriculum includes 3 sessional exams of 40 marks each and a final exam of 80 marks, with separate theory and practical assessments. The faculty encourages student engagement through small group discussions, seminars, and direct interaction, enhancing clinical and theoretical understanding. However, there is a noted need for more young faculty and innovative teaching methods to complement the experienced staff.
