Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very beneficial as it provides various opportunities after graduation. The curriculum is very helpful in real.There are exams which are held almost 2-3in every months in one subject,and level of exam is good.

Class Size: 200Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Internships Opportunities

We have to do one year compulsory internship after completion of 4.5 years of the course.We are given duties in various departments such as medicine, surgery, gynae, optha,ent, emergency etc. We are given stipend of 35000 approx monthly.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

In admission time we have given 25000 rupees.After that we have to give hostel fee of rs 3500 every month. Scholarships were provided to the students.After 4.5 years we have to do one year compulsory internship for which we are awarded stipend.

Campus Life

The campus is environment friendly,there are trees and tea estates behind our college.We celebrate Bihu,Saraswati Puja,Diwali centrally. There are many opportunities in sports and literature.We organise various cultural events.

Hostel Facilities

The rooms are large.In our hostel double bedded rooms are given.The room is comfortable.There are two windows,a balcony and ventilators are there.Fan is given, fixed wardrobe,a fan to share with room mate.

Admission

We have to apply for the admission through DME,directorate of medical education,assam. To apply we should qualify neet.I have availed obc NCL reservation qouta from 27% reservation policy. Frequency of exam is 15days.

Faculty

The faculties are very qualified,they have done their masters from the best medical institutions of the country ig jipmer,AIIMS Delhi etc. They have experienced over 25 years and very interactive,and give opportunities to the students.

Great college for MBBS in Assam

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS in a Premier Institute

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBBs because it's a noble profession. A human being must serve people and society and it can be best done by being a doctor. That's why I chose MBBS. All faculties are NEET: PG qualified. Faculties are great experienced but few of them fail to deliver their knowledge fully but that's only a few. The faculty ratio is 1:20. The teaching method is mainly practical. Clinical exposure is given from 1st year itself. And for the theory part, there are smart classes available. The frequency of exams is high. More than twice a month you have to appear for an exam, may it be a semester or internal assessment or part completion test. Exams are not MCQ-based and the difficulty is moderate. A punctual study from starting makes it easy to pass any exam.

MBBS- a decision that changed my mind and thought process.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very good and faculties are very much helpful. I have chosen this course to serve the nation. There are at least 1 faculty is there for every 30 students. Exams are having a fixed schedule and they are usually conducted in that specific schedule only. Every faculty are MBBS+MS/MD. Every year in March our final exam used to conduct.

I chose the course MBBS as I want to be a good doctor. My class has 150 students and around 30 faculties in each department. All faculty are doctors and they teach us on whiteboard and projector. Semester Exams are conducted after every 3 months and professional exams are conducted at the end of the season. Semester exam is easy to pass but professional exams are difficult.

My experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to become a doctor that's why I choose mbbs course in this college. The Course Curriculum and Exam structure are set by the National medical council. It's a 4.5 years course+1 year internship +1 year rural posting. We have regular internal exams but the university exams occur at the end of the 2nd semester, 5th semester, 7th semester, and 9th semester. Initially, the course is theory-based but later is more of a practical approach with quite enough clinical exposure and patient interactions. All faculties are expert and well trained.

Remarks:

The best part of college is a separated and closed eco frenly, wifi enabled campus. Almist every corner of the college campus is protected with CCTV cameras. Outsiders are not allowed without permission. A guest house is available for parents and gaurdian

Institute of Pharmacy, Assam Median College.

I got admission in some private universities like Kaziranga university, Assam down town University etc. But I applied for this college as it is a government institute which means the fee structure was quite affordable and relevant also since I got admission by cracking the CEE entrance exam for Dpharm. I did apply for Dibrugarh University in bpharm course but as my 12th percentage was only 86%, I didn't get the seat. The admission is through the CEE entrance exam for Dpharm which consists of 150 marks. Biology/ maths- 50 Chemistry - 50 Physics - 50 The cut offs are different for different castes but a minimum of 80 is required to sure the seat.
