My Tezpur Medical College

The hype of mbbs is enough to choose it . But in my case I just said it to my parents on the last day of my 10th boards that I would go for pcb . One cannot deny the amount of respect this course holds . Numerous times I have heard that onle the cream of the society gets int this course and can actually go through hell to pass out with an extraordinary shine. Exams are moderate to difficult it all depends on your preparation. I will not say to always study but atleast a month before exam so that you can get a decent score. Well only of the faculty number can rise a bit it will be really great

On campus placements are there . We have to do our internship in tmch itself . After that one year of rural bond is compulsory . The stipned during internship is highest as compared to other state which is around 40k/month.

So the year wise fees is 24900 which is to be paid once only. As I come from all india quota I had to give 15000 as my registration fees every year. 1000 was taken foe tution fees . Exam fees of 4000 is to be given before final exams My batchmate who were from state quota had to give 24900 as college fees. But their registration fees was only 5000 compared to us. I am not eligible for scholarship because I am aiq. 3 students from the sq got a full scholarship.

Every year college weak , foundation day , Saraswati puja and above all TPL is held . Though we lack a proper auditorium, just the vibe of the students jamming keeps it going. But TPL is really a great sight , all the teams put their best in winning it.

Hostel as one can think. The bathroom are not clean . Limited option for vegetarian. Nightmare for roti eaters as rotis are only during dinner. Mess fees in 3k per month. No option of leaving mess fees as long as you are a hosteller.

To be honest I was never going to choose this college because of the distance between my home and here . But as the destiny had planned the cutoff was really high so in a list of 126 college I filled tmch was my 121 choice. I did not go for upgradation just thinking that I will make my best come out here and shine.

Well the faculty to student ratio is quite high. A single teacher has to look after 30 student. The faculty is approachable though. I quite liked the personality of my anatomy teacher but she was transferred after 5 months of my joining. The pgs even help is with biochemistry and are very much helpful in labs. As of now I haven't encountered any faculty I dislike. For most teachers my feelings are neutral. ENT hod have quite an aura , though I am first year student I am very much fascinated by him. Every three month we have our trimester. So in one term we have 3 internals and 1 final. While the passing rate is above 98% . A combined result of all government medical college is published in which we score first rank for the year 2023-24.

Gym is there within the college itself separate for both boys and girls. Cafeteria is not there. We have 2 badminton courts , a volleyball court and a common court for football and cricket. During college week every batch compete in all kinds of sports . No such thing as night life near tmch . But ther is in town.
