14 Oct, 2025 MCC NEET UG Round 3 Counselling 2025 schedule has been revised for MBBS/ BDS/ B.Sc (Nursing) admission. The choice filling portal will be available till Oct 16, 2025. Further, the Third Seat Allotment Result will now be released @mcc.nic.in on Oct 18, 2025.Check Revised schedule.
Chhattisgarh Institute Of Medical Science (CIMS) Bilaspur was established by the government of Chhattisgarh in 2001. The most popular program of the college is the undergraduate course MBBS. The admission is based on NEET UG scores followed by counselling conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Raipur. The college also offers an MD program and accepts NEET PG score for admission followed by counselling conducted by Ayush and Health Science University of Chhattisgarh. The application mode is online.
There are a total of 180 seats which are distributed in three categories such as 15% of seats allocated based on NEET-UG, 3% for central government nominees and the rest 82% are allotted to state candidates based on NEET UG scores.
It has a massive campus spread over 25-acre land encompassing classes, dissection hall, demonstration hall, seminar hall, central library, operation theatre, research lab, medical ward, laboratory, auditorium, sports area.
It has Wifi, student lockers, an assessment card and medical facility, mannequins for CPR, central line insertion and intubation.
It has an anatomy department museum according to the guidelines of MCI. The museum is set up to study in the field of neuroanatomy, radiology, enterology, anthropology and much more
Institute has a 1-year mandatory internship. Candidates receive stipends of INR 12000 to 14000. The passing percentage of students in the institute is 80 to 90% and few students have received the honour in biochemistry.
Nearly 400000 biochemical investigations are carried out and various students are deputed to perform various researches under faculty members.

Ans. The college organizes various events around the year such as Holi, Diwali, Independence Day, teacher’s day, Christmas. The most awaited fest is “Rhythm” where the whole college participates in competitions, dance, music, movie nights and much more. These are seven blissful days for everyone
Ques. Does CIMS Bilaspur provide placements?
Ans. The college does not conduct placements but they provide an internship program of 1 year where students receive stipends of INR 1200 to INR 13000 per month after which they serve 2 years under a rural service bond. Such students are eligible to serve in medical facilities or to start their independent medical service.

Student view on course curriculum
The goal of treating people at the best of your ability is what made me choose this course - the curriculum is just a path you have to go through.
The curriculum is okay, but one's own effort and the hunger to learn is what will make you better than others.
Lots of irrelevant or outdated stuff is taught and that needs to be pruned and replaced with up to date topics, but that needs a complete overhaul of the curriculum and is not college specific.
internal assessments occur every 2 months, random pop quiz has no certainty, every exam takes around 2 to 3 weeks to be completed
Internship opportunity provided by the college
One year internship is provided by the college hospital itself, they rotate us through every department for a month or so provide ample exposure to patients and procedures.
12 hour shifts are designated.
the goal is to create a competent doctor who can do basic procedures and diagnose at a PHC

Scholarship available for SC/ST candidates. Full fee refunded to their respective bank accounts, probably depends on whether their economic background is strong or not.
Annual fest and various activity in the campus
We have our annual fest Rhythm and an Intercollege fest that occurs every other year or so.
other than that we host Ganesh chaturthi week-long, and teachers day.
Regular CMEs are held by various departments to disseminate information regarding their subject matter expertise.
The library is well stocked. It even provides free lectures from Prepladder.
We have a basketball court, badminton courts in hostel, table tennis tables in BH, volleyball ground as well.
Clubs are not very common here, however private groups for gaming and music are formed.
Hostel facilities provided by the college
The room is decent, can be furnished as well, provided with a solid study table and a comfy chair with a bed frame and an almirah and shelves.
Meal quality in mess is decent we have three mess, and their vendors are changed on demand if the quality dips.
Registration for hostel is easy and occurs during or after admission, subject to availablilty of rooom.
Students who can afford it also rent in PGs and approach from their.
Student views on the faculty
there's around one faculty member for every 30 or so students, one cadaver for 15 to 20 student.
faculty is responsive to students. exceptions exist of course, but overall very approachable.
Dr. Prashant Nigam sir, Dr. Chitrangi Barpande maam, Dr. Rashmi Gupta maam are some of the professors who deserve being mentioned as being very approachable and concerned for students.
Three internal assessments and one final assessments are mandatory, the failing rate changes every year. The curriculum is same pan-India and hence no exceptions.

It was ranked the second topmost college of the state and in the order of counselling hence i chose it _ older colleges provide a good alumni network and good patient load along with running facilities.
Didnt have enough marks to get Pt. JNM Raipur, hence stuck with this.
The admission procedure is arguably the easiest in my college, the faculty members are extremely helpful regarding the same, that was the first exposure of any new student to the faculty and hence its good.

Likewise it is known 2 nd best college of state and apart from other college its is easy to survive here and first up all your home must be close to your college because you will need because of the things you will see around colleagues

In the classroom we have AC which is a good for us.

There are two years of bond after mbbs us not good.
Admission:
After allotment fo the college to take admission is compulsory. If tou deny admission you can't go for further admission. It's very important to take admission. During admission scrutiny is done by college experienced professor.
Our college admission process is very hectic many documents arrange and Xerox them and bond making process is very hectic egibility criteria is based on 10th and 12th passing marks and neet score card
I wanted the best college of my state Jnm Raipur but I got the second best colleges of my state that is Cims bilaspur due to lack of numbers.
You have to clear neet cutoff after that you will get admission in the college then you have to verify your documents. Cutoff for my college is 625 630 for general category

I put the other colleges in the counselling also like top colleges but myarks are not enough for the top colleges. This college is the state 2nd top colleges and then I got admission here.I also got one west bengal college but this college ranking is higher than that college.I crack the neet exam and got admission for ug here.The admission process is so simple.
I had choose this due to wrong time span of different rounds of neet UG counselling , differing from state to all india.I choose this from all india quota in second round as there is no any option of upgradation in all india counselling during my time .
I applied for pt jnm and where I could not get admission due to cut off
And it is the best college which I can get for my score in neet
And its also the second best college in chattishargh
First you have to clear the neet exam and then you have to apply for counselling according to your marks in neet and you have to choose your preference and according to your scores govt allot you college and then there is admission process which require bond paper class 10 Aur class 12 marksheet you admission certificate neet scorecard
