The campus is beautiful and envionment friendly and near the college there is a bank of Brahmaputra river which gives mesmerizing views

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good and some of the instruments in lab are not in working condition

Course Curriculum Overview

There are three internal exams are there and last final year end term exam . You have to score 50% in all the exams to pass the course. You can go for B pharm after completing D pharm which is much valuable than it. Diploma course includes mainly dispensing the medicines.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The overall fees structure is 12000 per year and 5000 is required before final exam . The over all fees includes lab facility , library fees, sports and cultural fest . There is no financial aid provided by college but you can apply different scholarship through NSP.

Campus Life

The annual fest name SYNAPSE celebrated every year very joyfully. Annual sports week also celebrated and there are cultural rally, street drama are done. Election also done to choose the GS of college. College also have its own gym facility

Admission

Its the oldest pharmacy college in Assam almost 50 year old and its a govt college and its near to my hometown also thats why I choose the college. All faculty members are well experienced and the lab technicians also well experienced in handling the pharmaceutical equipments. And the fees structure is also less as compared to other colleges thats why i choose this one.

Faculty

All the experienced faculty members. Almost all have Phd degree and aged persons . If we attend the lectures properly we can understand the subjects . All faculty members have their own specilization in their field

Course Curriculum Overview:

The practical learning of the subject. It provides quite deeo learning into each subject. As the course provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge it becomes quite easy to apply the knowledge to further academic of occupational pursuits. Also it provides 3 months internship after the completion of the course. The improvement areas are the teaching methods of some subjects like pharmacognosy, social pharmacy, etc. Exams are conducted in a time interval of every 2-3 months. The duration of the session exams are 1and half hours while that of final exam is 3 hours for each subject.

Placement Experience:

Institute of Pharmacy, Assam Median College.

I got admission in some private universities like Kaziranga university, Assam down town University etc. But I applied for this college as it is a government institute which means the fee structure was quite affordable and relevant also since I got admission by cracking the CEE entrance exam for Dpharm. I did apply for Dibrugarh University in bpharm course but as my 12th percentage was only 86%, I didn't get the seat. The admission is through the CEE entrance exam for Dpharm which consists of 150 marks. Biology/ maths- 50 Chemistry - 50 Physics - 50 The cut offs are different for different castes but a minimum of 80 is required to sure the seat. AMCH IN REVIEW.

This college is the oldest medical college in Assam. The admission in based on the merit list prepared on the basis of marks scored in NEET (UG) exam. Usually this exam is held in the month of May every year and the counselling is scheduled in the month of June/July.
