I chose Purdue university particularly for this course in aerospace and aviation management as this course is highly valued in this university and has a great reputation as well and this clearly aligns with my career goals as well. I chose this university because of it's reputation, affordability, education. It is amongst Top 20 schools that have tuition frozen at 2010 levels and the education improved me immensely.

I chose this initially for the nursing program but changed my mind. I knew this college was a great school in general, especially well-known for engineering. I decided to stick to the psychology program since it was most interesting to me. I definitely think that the campus is very diverse and that there are a lot of opportunities for students to really find what they are in college for. There are many avenues that students can connect with other students on and several resources that are typically free of charge.

Many companies visit during career fairs. The biggest career fair, Industrial Roundtable, hosts over 200 companies every year. Large big name companies like Tesla and google come here often to recruit students.

I chose this program for the engineering ranking and the fact that Purdue is a well known name. My overall experience has been very good academically. purdue is a bit boring and not a party school since many students here are engineering students. The quality of education is extremely good though.

There will be campus fairs in both fall and Spring. In Fall 2023, around 500 companies had their stalls in the fair and in the Spring 2024, around 200 companies had their stalls.

I received two internship - One at Intel, Oregon for Summer 2024 (1840 $ per week) + housing and relocation allowance. Nvidia, California for Fall 2024 (2320 $ per week) + housing and relocation allowance.

There are no placements in universities abroad. You apply separately to the companies you want. There are career fairs held twice a year.

Pretty good experience and would recommend fellow students who are coming to be prepared to tough it out as this is not an easy economy to do well in but if you struggle and work hard you will be able to succeed in any challenge.

They usually don't give you a direct position of job after a Master but they usually give the option to continue with a PhD.

I have really enjoyed campus and the people in here. There's a lot of student but there's enough space for everyone. My department is amazing, renovated and well equipped.

The post-study opportunities are pretty good since there is a lot of demand for Data Scientists. However, make sure you know your stuff. Work hard, and keep learning something new every single day. That is what will make you interview-ready!

My program did not allow us to opt for external internships. However, I took up multiple jobs within campus, such as TA, Tutoring, and in-house Data Scientist roles. They pay pretty well (15 to 25 dollars an hour).

Post completion of the Ph.D, students apply for post-doc opportunities and seek jobs where skills learned as a researcher can be utilized such as programming, data analysis, etc. Some take up teaching or administrative roles in colleges/universities and relevant organizations.
