  • There are various departments and the campus is really big and beautiful with a lot of scenery and greenery. There are around 607 different libraries with different fascinating architecture, and they are very silent to study in, with conference rooms available for booking for group activities and meetings.

Overview

University of Chicago has been a dream come true for me since I always wanted to do a masters in computer science after working as a software engineer. It is one of the few universities that allowed people like me who come from a totally different background (mechanical engineering) to pursue masters in CS. The entire masters program - though rushed due to quarter pattern instead of semesters - has been quite challenging and very relevant to developing practical skills that would be easily transferrable to the real world. It has been a wholesome experience for me.

Campus life is very dynamic with so many events happening around all the time. Lot of emphasis is on sports and extra-curriculars and the facilities for the same are world class. Fun fact - Michael Phelps used to practice at the Olympic size swimming pool in the uni (we were told about this during campus tours). The Harry Potter vibes in the campus buildings are surreal. There are 5-6 huge libraries and they host millions of books including some of the oldest records in a lot of domains - since the college has been here since 1890s.

Overview

Its an overall good experience to study at University of Chicago but one should consider the university fees before taking a call to join the university. Because of the university ranking and teaching curriculum which has good reviews from previous students.

Overview

It's a top-ranked school and I wanted to take advantage of the best opportunities presented to me! I think my school will be able to catapult me to the highest levels of success. Also, I love the Chicago area and knew I wanted to live here.

Normal tuition charges. I don't recall any other specific charges. There are some student life charges but I guess that goes to food and events.

Please note that the University of Chicago does not accept PTE scores. I recommend that you consider studying for the IELTS or TOEFL instead. You can find information on the minimum score requirements here
