Course Curriculum
- You can design your own curriculum based on your choice and specialization goals. You can also choose class schedules for some classes. The average number of students depends on the popularity of the course.
- At UChicago, even if you are a student in one department, you can take courses in any department you want.
Admission Experience
- I wanted to join a rigorous academic experience. Also, I wanted to experience a STEM degree in Public Policy. This degree provides both experiences.
- My GRE score was 331/340, and my IELTS score was 8.
Faculty
- I don’t exactly know the faculty/student ratio at present.
- However, all the faculty are experts in their fields; some of them are Nobel Laureates or have other prestigious international recognitions. Every faculty are easily approachable.
Campus Life
- There are lots of events happening at UChicago, but mostly these are academic or academic adjacent. There are many clubs and student organizations at UChicago where one can be a part of, which also organize a lot of events.
- Being one of the best research universities in the world, UChicago has state-of-the-art research facilities and world-class libraries. It also has many indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
Part Time Jobs
- At UChicago TA/RA position typically pays significantly well as compared to other universities.
- There are lots of on-campus jobs that students can usually get very easily.
Placement
- Full-time opportunities for my course vary based on the specialization.
- I don’t have exact statistics on how many students get employment within 6 months. But, being one of the best universities and programs in the world, students easily secure jobs after graduation.
Accommodation
- Rental costs vary between $700-$1500 based on the type of accommodation a student is choosing.
Exams
- Exams required: GRE/GMAT, IELTS/TOEFL
- Documents needed: SOP, Personal Essay, Optional Scholarship Essay, 3 LORs
Fees
- Without a scholarship, the tuition cost is around $120000 for the entire duration of the course (2 years)
