- The community at Dartmouth is small and very collaborative and speaking to the grad students here made me realise this is a screaming green flag of a program given the very healthy mindset of people (and no toxic unhealthy competitions) unlike other ivy leagues in the country. null
- The research faculty, the environment and a very collaborative mindset. There are a lot of resources that Dartmouth provides for one to be successful in their research career. null
Dislikes:
- Nothing honestly. I got what I want. Maybe it's location. Hanover is a small town and it can get really cold. Also you'd need a car to do something fun in this town as public transport sucks. But people here are always happy to drive you around. null
Overview
I applied to this college for its extensive cell bio research and I'm happy that it lived up to my expectations. The environment is a green flag for research and there is a lot of support you can find along your way here.
Fees
It is a lot (since it is private institute and I don't know the exact figure) but since it is a phd program, it is all covered.
Overview
The financial aid award they gave was great. The setting of the college is rural and something I'd never experienced before. The small class sizes were also a plus - the largest class I've been in had 100 people, while most of my classes have been 10-20 people.
Fees
Tuition is pretty steep - the total cost for the school is $75k for the upcoming year. That includes tuition, student fees, health insurance, room and board, dining plan, books, and transportation.
Overview
I chose based on its location, size, and reputation. It was also the best college I got into for undergrad. Dartmouth is very beautiful and also gave me the best financial aid package which is why I decided to attend Dartmouth.
Fees
I got great financial aid, but tuition, like any normal private university in the US, is quite high. I believe that if your parents make below 100k, you do not get any loans included in your financial aid package - they are replaced by grants.
Overview
Dartmouth offers one of the best MEM courses in the united states. It offers a great mix of engineering and business courses from Thayer school of engineering and Tuck school of business.
Fees
$20k/ term, total 4 terms and 1 summer term for which we pay about $3k
