Scholarships are given to children with less than 4.5 lakh family income in which tuition fees is relaxed.
A 3g iit, my college is provided with very brilliant professors, who had experience of teaching at 1g iits .
Campus is overall enhancing and beautiful and i love the beauty here

Dislikes

Work To Build Sports Complex and New Academic Block is running
Small library unlike other IITs and same menu in all mess
Old pattern course that cannot fulfill future demands of skills required

IIT Jammu - A college of dreams

Likes

Vibrant sports and club culture and the variety provided.
The quality of faculty and their teaching methods
Hostel rooms are good and very comfortable.

Dislikes

The weather here. It gets extremely cold as temperature drops to 3° in winter and in summer it rises to 40°
The mess food on many days is bad and therefore most of the students in those days eat outside.
The campus is small and lacks in infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed this course because civil engineering provides good opportunity in government sector. The faculty to student ratio is good and around nearly 1 faculty for every 20-25 student. Most of the faculty members have excellent teaching methods and are highly qualified with each having a PhD from reputed institutes. The exams were timely and subjects like calculus and linear algebra were a bit tough to pass.

BEST 3RD GEN IIT:IIT JAMMU

Sports Facilities here are very good. There are 3 badminton court,1 basketball court and 1 volleyball court .Also there is a football ground.
Classroom:The classrooms are air conditioned and also cleaned regularly.
Social Club: The social club KRITASH of IIT JAMMU serves various poor students in nearby villages who could not pursue education on their own.

Placement Experience:

The students are generally placed in the 7th or 8th semester. Various companies visit IIT JAMMU for placements like Microsoft, Qualcomm,Intel ,FLIPKART,etc. The highest package is 53 lakh and the average character is 19 lakh. The percentage of students placed is 85%.

My college review

Likes

i like the scenery and weather most here because it is a hill station view type here
I liked the fests and events here it happens every semester
I like the labs and classrooms here labs are well organized and very well at working there is tinkering lab where you can make anything you want

Dislikes

I dont like the teachers behaviour some faculty are very rude

Placement Experience:

From the 5th & 7th semesters, students can become eligible for internships and placements. There are many companies like 15+ companies visited. the lowest package was 9 lakh per annum and the highest was 55 lakh for the cs department.

Likes

Campus life, sports facilities and faculty and academic of the college
Student and faculty relation is very good.

Dislikes

It is third generation iit so not much developed.
College is not much big. It is still under construction.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is very good. The average package of the college is above 17 lakh. It is increasing year by year. It has many employment options. Research level is also good in college and to open self business.

IIT Jammu from start to end.

Likes

Great opportunites for students here to explore things as strength of students is low.
Great view from college, lush green campus.
Freedom for students to roam around the campus at night, no partiality for genders.

Dislikes

Social life good but not as good as other iits
Campus is new so it os not so large but it is expanding.
Extreme weather, it can rain anytime no predictions.

Placement Experience:

Basements are pretty good, especially for the electrical and computer science branches the average package of computer science is around 25 lakhs per annum as per the latest placement sale and for other branches it is also pretty well you will be provided an internship from third year onwards and many candidates have also been provided with ppos.

everything is good.college is too good , campus life is too good .quite away from the main city but transport is too good instuite it beside of NH44

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this course, there were too many scopes, this was the reason behind my choosing this course. There are 1 faculty over 10 students. All faculty are Doctoral from 1st Gen IITs. exams were timely and quite difficult to score.

I chose this course because from starting my interest has been in electronic instruments. The faculty is quite good. The faculty is well qualified. In one year 2 semester is taken and in one semester 2 class test and one end sem. And one sem. The exam is taken in college. Calculus is mostly difficult to get good marks in exams.

Nice campus placements are provided in the college. In last year, students are eligible for campus placements. About 70-80 percent students are placed. Various big companies like aakash, tata etc. come for placement.

Best 3G IIT in term of placement and infrastructure.

Likes

Labs and classrooms are well equipped with latest technologies.
Interaction with seniors because of lower strength of students.
The climate and atmosphere is best among all IITs.

Dislikes

As it is new IIT infrastructure is growing and it will take time.

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester. As it is IIT so many big MNCs come here and recruit. 85% of the students got placed with the highest 53 lakhs, average package of 17.6 lakhs. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, Intel, Paytm, etc. I am planning for higher studies.

INTERNSHIP AND RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY AT IIT JAMMU

Placement is very good here almost every one gets placed, even other branches students got placements in IT industry.
Infrastructure is good here, all classrooms are well built and have modern facilities.
Faculties are cooperative here also seniors are also very helpful.

Dislikes

since it is established in 2016, so it is still in developing phase.
campus is still in developing phase only 35-40 acres are in use from 600 acres.
75% attendance is also in this college which i didn't like.

Placement Experience:

So coming to placements, you will be eligible for an internship in the third year, and for placements, it is 4th year, placements and internship process starts in September only. Placement is very good here, last year ie 2022-23 the highest package was 53 lpa, avg was 18 lpa, lowest was 5 lpa, also 85% of students got placed.
