Likes

i like the scenery and weather most here because it is a hill station view type here
I liked the fests and events here it happens every semester
I like the labs and classrooms here labs are well organized and very well at working there is tinkering lab where you can make anything you want

Dislikes

I dont like the teachers behaviour some faculty are very rude

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose electrical engineering. there are many faculties in each department and there are about 40-45 students in each department all the faculty are gold medalists and very good at research and projects. exams are on time but the faculty made the paper too much difficult to pass the exam.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

there are various internships available like data analyst, web development, node js, video editing, reactjs, company are many like TCS, Microsoft, Amazon and for females there are golden chances to get internships The min amount was 10000 and the maximum amount was 150000.

Placement Experience

From the 5th & 7th semesters, students can become eligible for internships and placements. There are many companies like 15+ companies visited. the lowest package was 9 lakh per annum and the highest was 55 lakh for the cs department.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the institute are about 1-1.5 lakh per semester but there are no fees for reservation candidates and ews candidates and the fees of the institute are increasing per year by about 4-5 k. you will get an institute scholarship or merit cum means scholarship.

Campus Life

there are many fests like cultural fests are named as renao and sports fests are named as pravvah in which many competitions are conducted between branches. there is a library available for books and many research papers and journals are there in the library. there are many clubs like coding club, astronomy club, kritash club, and finance club and they all are run by students.

Admission

To enter into an iitone have to qualify JEE advanced examination. you can find the Jee Advance application form on the web but to sit in the Jee Advance examination the person has to qualify Jee Mains examination. there are reservation quotas in iit from which you do have not to pay institute fees only have to pay hostel and mess fees.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

i got this college based on my jee advanced rank , i applied for some better iits but my rank was not upto it . i got 3778 obc rank which got me electrical branch in iit jammu. i also got 5431 obc rank in jee mains that was giving me chance to get cs in lower iits or electrical type branch in nit kurukshetra or other iiits , but i chose iit over iiits and nits beacuse of branch name ....Read More

Jammu is the heaven so is this iit for your better future

For me cleanliness, environment and healthy life is very important and also I got a seat on iit on my first attempt so I had taken this course and currently I am graduated and doing perfectly fine and not regretting my decision. Also my rank was not very good that's why I got rejected from other old iits I applied for. I applied in all old iits and also to nits and to some IIITs too. Admission process to get into these prestigious college is only through JEE advanced exam which is very hard but with determination, perseverance and hard work you can definitely get into good college....Read More
