I liked that most of the faculty seem pretty good in their field.
Placement is good average package is almost 15 lakh per annum
You can make good friends and paricipate and sports facilities

Dislikes

Veg mess food is pathetic. Most of the times, menu is even ont followed.
It is 15 km away from the city una that is the problem for students
There is communication gap between the administration. As there is no Student Body. So sometimes Students phase the issues.

IIIT Una

Likes

The campus is good but can be improved by increasing number of hostels
Faculty is good and they mostly teach by ppt
Overall infrastructure is good except for the one who are staying outside

Dislikes

Not very appreciable wifi speed it's just fine
I don't liked the washroom facilities not enough washrooms
Hostels can be made inside campus but they aren't made yet

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty good this year so many students got staggering amount of money and I don't know about the semester in which placements start 87% students got placements during current placement session

Overall good college

Likes

Hostel is much more better than most of the iiit's hostel.
Environment is very good . Campus full of greenery.
Classes are equipped with air conditioner (AC)

Dislikes

Small campus . Not more than 100 acers. Or even less
Rooms are three seaters. Which is another thing I didn't like .
Food is not that much good . Can make good food.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester students are eligible for campus placements . Companies that visits are college are Google , Microsoft, Amazon Zomato and much more . If you study well then there is no tension about placements

THE TRUTH

Likes

Hostels and mess - rooms and washrooms are cleaned daily, mess food is also tasty and they prepare food in front of our eyes
Managment and Facilities - wifi , sports facilities are decent . Managment is also accountable
Clubs And fest Culture - Various clubs are present there like - EIC ,picxcell, Epmoc, Avesh , Sargam, etc

Dislikes

Gender Ratio : Girls are very low in number here
Fees : fees is little high and non scholriship available for gen which has income over 8 lakh
location: wheather is quite rainy here

Placement Experience:

AS I MENTIONED EARLIER PLACMENTS ARE IMPROVING EVERY YEAR , 2022 BATCH CAN MAKE A HUGE JUMP IN 2026 . MANY OF THEM HAVE ALREADY GOT PPO . RECNETLY QUIZZES GAVE 43 LPA TO 3 STUDENTS OF 2025 PLACEMENT PERCENTAGE IS CLOSE TO 85 I AM AIMING TO GET PPO IN 3RD YEAR

the college is in heavens

Likes

the clubs culture is good and the fests are reaaly good
the coding clubs and fests are good and teacher very supportive
the college infrastructure is very good and hostel mess food was very good

Dislikes

college is outside the city and not easily to get things
the gender ratio is very poot 1 girl to 15 boys
the college has no placement ratio is not much high as expected

third year college students are eligible for placements and intership and campus placement is good and amazon , google such big companies are visited the highest pacakage is 43 lpa and median is about 9 lpa and placement percentage is 70 and i got placement in such big companies

IIIT UNA Second Year Student Review

Likes

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Why to get IIIT UNA in 2025

Likes

the environment of the college is very good as it is near mountains in himachal pradesh so the college life is very good the college has cafeteria whose food is very cheap and now nescafe is opened one in campus and one in hostel
the college has every type of lab needed and all the essential things we need for our project devlopment and every lab has specific lab assistant that are very helpful
the campus is fully ac and all classroom and labs has fully furnished ac's and heater works in winter

Dislikes

The thing i disliked the most is that they took almost 4 months to give result as result come just before the next semster datesheet
Some faculties for subjects like mathematics and communication skills change every year as they are not permanent faculties
the college has very less gender ratio for girls as there are only 12 girls in mine year students that has almost 280 students

the placemts of my college is just average about 12 lakhs average package and 30 lakhs max this year but max is 60 lakhs p.a. from 7th sem students starts to get placements and got eligible the companies visited are amazon,flipkart , enfosys and many more'' the percentage of the students getting placed is about 80% till now my plans are to get on acmpus placement the best i can get

Better to choose a NIT ! DEAD COLLEGE

Likes

infrastructure is best as compared to other collage
the collageg is new but it have it,s own campus
enviroment is so good fresh air clean everywhere

Dislikes

the collage doesnot have basic audiotorium .
only 13 girls over 280 boys which is worst for a collage
management doest not support the students at all

iiituna curriculum is industry relevent with good practical expouser more hand on project based learning and intreactive teaching can improve the curriculum more and make it more good for upcoming students

Institure facilites, infrastructure specially Hostels are very good as expectations and campus is very beautiful

Dislikes

In starting days, I was like this location is full of moutains and snow type of stuff. But in real this are, we can say Plains. Because its the staring city of Himachal Pradesh.

Placement Experience:

Yes, absolutely college provides placements to students. in starting of last year , our cdc drive informs about the companies and give a chance to take participate in them. About percentage, i think there are multiple factors year by year. Generally about 80%.

IIITU - Top growing IIIT

Likes

If you want to live in peaceful environment IIITU will be a heaven.
All the tourist places are nearby so you can travel the wonderful Himachal Pradesh.
Placement support is very good. Avarage around 95%.

Dislikes

Poor connectivity lies outside main city una.
Administration is not student supportive.
Facilities are not up to the mark like shopping malls.

Placement Experience:

You are given oppertunity to get placed from 7th semester. Currently the avarage package is around 9 lpa and highest is around 65 lpa. currently in final year 50% are placed. The internship is avaiable in 8th semester so there are high chance of getting ppo.

only aspects i appreciated is like hostels , hostels are pretty good with fully wifis which are not available in most colleges , well sized rooms and buildings
faculties are mostly here PHD's there teaching methods are good some teachers are very good and some are not at all good
quality of infrastructure that exist is good as i said hostels are good , academic block and admin block are good with well equipped labs

Dislikes

as of campus life and social interactions they are very poor there is no such campus life because campus not that big and is really quiet no interesting activities or something like that happen
there are alot of unecessary activities are there in syllabus which is just waste of time and mostly the teachers treat the college like a school too many restrictions
the course curriculum is very vast literally it is very difficult to make time for personal development all the time is lost in classes and labs and unecessary assignments
