Admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics & Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una is primarily based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. Students must clear the JEE Mains conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and admissions are managed through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) and CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling. To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate, or be within the top 20 percentile of their respective state board exams.
The cutoffs for different branches vary, with the Electronics & Communication Engineering program generally requiring a JEE Main rank between 30,000 to 50,000. Reservation policies are in place for different categories such as OBC, SC, ST, and PWD, but there is no state reservation or specific female quota. The admission process includes document verification and fee submission, which takes place both online and in person at the college for final seat allocation.
As of now, no scholarships are provided directly by the institute, although some government scholarships might be available for eligible students. All relevant information and timelines can be accessed via the JoSAA website and the official IIIT Una portal.
