Honesty I have chosen the course based on the marks I have got. My main motive was to be graduate and prepare at the same time for the competitive exam.
We had a lot of students in the BA general course. The total number of students was around 140. We did not have a dedicated professor for general subjects. Professors from their respective honours subject used to take our class. For 3 general subjects, we had around 9-10 professors.
So student-faculty ratio was around 14 students per one professor.
But our professors were great in teaching. They used to take a lot of regular classes.
Exams were one time in a year and neither easy nor tough to pass. We have given some class tests also.
I love physics and have a great passion for this subject. I want to be a researcher in the future. This is why I have chosen this subject.
In our department, there were around 30 students only. And we had 5 professors. All of them are good. Our head of the department professor was excellent. And our principal was also a physics professor.
The student-faculty ratio was 1 professor per 6 students. We had to do a lot of practical classes in 3 years. Our professor used to do a lot of practical classes. And we used to do seminars in our department where everyone participate in audiovisual studies.
All of our professors have done Ph.D. and they were very helpful.
We had to give one final exam every year but our professors did take a lot of class tests and they provided a lot of mock question papers.
If anyone study regularly exams were not difficult to pass.
I love this subject very much & I used to get good marks in Geography from my Junior High school. So I did choose geography honors,
We have a capacity of around 50 students in our department. We had 6 professors in our department. And we have two other pass subjects for the first to fourth semester. And we have more than 4-5 professors who used to take our pass subject's class.
All the professors in the Geography Hons department were really good. They are very skilled and the teaching method is very easy to understand.
Our faculty-student ratio is 10 students for 1 professor.
We had to give an internal test before every semester. And we had to give 6 the semester to be a graduate. The first two semesters are easy. Then the number of papers increases. You have to study well to pass these exams.
I had good marks in Maths in HS exam. Alongside I want to be a Mathematics teacher. So I took admission to the Mathematics department of Taki Govt College.
We had a total of 5 professors. Total seats in the Maths department is 117 but in our batch, active students were around 52 so we had 1 professor per 10 students which is a very decent ratio.
All of them are highly qualified. Some of them have Ph.D. also. Their teaching techniques are very understandable.
We had a total of 6 semesters and before every semester we had to give an internal exam. Exams are not very easy to pass.
I have chosen this course because I want to study for the government exams alongside my graduation. In the BA english course, we have about 150 students. We had around 8-10 professors. They all are highly qualified. 6 of them have a P.hd degree. We had to go to college regularly and they took classes consistently. We had around 15 students per professor. As it's a pass course We have many other teachers but we did not get the class of many other teachers.
Exams are quite easy to pass and if we did not pass in one paper we had the chance of passing the exam next year. And our professor used to take mock tests and internal assessment tests.
I love doing maths since my childhood and I want to be a professor of Mathematics. So I have chosen Mathematics honours.
Total seats for the Mathematics department is between 100-110. But for now, 65 students are studying with my batch rest seats are vacant.
Total 4 professors as of now and two of them are new professors. As in our batch, active students are 65 so the student-professor ratio is 16:1. That means for every 16 students we have got 1 professor.
All the faculties in our department are highly qualified. They teach Mathematics with lots of passion.
As we are in the CBCS system we have to give six semesters in 3 years. And before every semester there is an internal assessment exam. Exams are not very easy to pass.
With every semester subjects become tougher but if anyone study consistently it's easy to pass.
If you want mathematics honours...Taki Govt College is best for you. There are 4 faculties and almost 80 students read in mathematics honours yet later few students left college for another reasons.now the faculty is very good. two professors are phd holders and all professors are very talented. They are humble also. They take online classes as well as offline classes. In a word, this college has better mathematics faculty
My dream is to become professor of English that's why I have taken this.
When I admitted there were 5 faculties but later one processor transferred. So student-professor ratio is one professor per 20 student.
Processor were very good. They take regular class.
We were 1+1+1 student. So we had only one final exam in every year. We had to score above 35% to pass the exam. It was neither easy nor difficult
I was good at mathematics and got good marks in the higher secondary exam. So I took Mathematics honors.
There were 4 faculties and there were almost 80 students( later many students left and went for different fields). So the ratio was 20 students/faculty.
Faculties were good and qualified but we did not have any regular on-time class. After the first half and one year when the pandemic hits our professors did not take any online class up to the 5th semester.
But now two faculties have transferred. And the new two faculties are super good. We have got only last semester but they used to take online classes with presentations.
Now I can say the four faculties are really good if want to learn mathematics very well. Two professors sir are Ph.D. holders and one ma'am has done M.sc from IIT.
In the middle of every semester terms exam happens. The questions are not very tough. But if you can't answer you will get full marks from college internal.
