University of Kalyani, established in 1960, is a state-government administered, affiliating and Research University in Nadia district of West Bengal. The university offers a wide range of UG, PG and Research level courses in the streams of Science, Arts & Commerce, Education, and Engineering, Technology & Management and Music & Fine Arts. The admission procedure for Kalyani University varies for different courses. For admission to some of the courses, the university conducts separate entrance test, interview and group discussion to evaluate the courses, whereas, for some courses, admission is purely based on the merit in the qualifying examination. Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of WBJEE entrance examination. Selection to MCA is done on the basis of JECA entrance examination. Admission to MBA is done on the basis of CMAT/MAT/CAT/JEMAT Examination followed by Personal Interview and Group Discussion. Admission to M.Tech. course will be done through Written Test and Interview conducted by the department.
