Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college

Dislikes

Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

Great Internship Opportunities

Likes

The Fees and Discipline of the College Authority.
Behaviour of Faculties and other members.
The Safety of Students and other eqquipments of college.

Dislikes

The Wall Maintanance of the college buildings.
The Events of the college and social visit is too low because of political issues inside campus.

Placement Experience:

No student who completes the course is unemployed and placement rate is 90% for this college and I am proud of being a student of this college. I planned to get more oppurtunities to get into Jadavpur Universsities Placement to other companies like adobe, microsoft and google.

Jadavpur University: Your place to shine

Likes

The campus life is quite happening and good.
The fests are lively and you get to hone your technical skills there.
The professors are friendly and you will be getting multiple research opportunities here.

Dislikes

The teaching method is very conventional and old-fashioned.
The overall infrastructure not up to the mark, mostly because of its low fees.
The courses might be considered difficult if you are to target more than 9 CGPA.

Placement Experience:

There are two levels at which placements happen, one is the internship placements and another is the full time placements. You ar eeligible for intern placements from 3rd year and for full time placaments from 4th year as it is the norm all around India. In the CSE program almost all get placed. The average CTC is around 20 lakhs per annum.

Jadavpur University - Where Dreams Come True

Likes

The teaching faculty , an enormous alumnii strength
Student Union to address our problems and helps in conducting different college events
Co curricular activities are given special attention

Dislikes

Lab equipments should be improved and some parts should be furnished
Develop the college and to have a better infrascture

Placement Experience:

My college Placement Records is very good. I am mainly telling about the placement record yearwise In 2023 , the highest was 84 lakhs (LPA) and average was 11.08 lakhs (LPA) In 2022 , the highest was 183 lakhs (LPA) and average was 11.21 lakhs (LPA) In 2021 , the highest was 58 lakhs (LPA) and average was 8.89 lakhs(LPA) Many companies visit the campus like Google , Amazon , Samsung , Paytm , Tata Digital , Morgan Stanley , AirBus , TCS

Jadavpur University : A nexus of excellence and cultural vibrancy

The thing that I like the most is the return on investment (ROI) which is Highest in India and my dept. is CSE which holds the best ROI among all branches.
Then comes the attendance policy, in JU we don't have strict 75% attendance policy . 45-50% is good to go.
The profs are very well experienced , most of them have a degree from foreign Universities and many published research papers.

Dislikes

The infrastructure isn't good , as it's a state govt. college the infrastructure is not as par with IITs or NITs.
The campus is very small (56acres the main campus) and there's not much of facilities inside the campus.also the campus isn't too clean.
The hostels ! 1st of all they offer hostels to limited students and there's a bit of ragging culture which is almost everywhere but now it has changed significantly as they have arranged hostel where only 1st year students will stay .

Placement Experience:

The placement is superb which I'm vry eager to discuss. Almost everyone of our college got placed even the lower branches did well in the placements ... branches securing even 100% placements... For CSE the %age is 97 ... rest went for higher studies. In CSE the average package is somewhat between 18-22lpa. This year Google have made offers of 57lpa to a few students, Samsung offered 44lpa,Wells Fargo 27Lpa... these ctc are well known .... but many companies visit here which include tech,consultancy,banks ...

here the play ground is verry good, i like it.
and also the green jon is very cool to spend time.
and there is neet and cleen campus.that is very nice.

There is very nice course system, and other deperment is very nice they hepl to creat the projects, there curricumlum is very nice , all over this my fevorite pleace, of my daily life.i also love it and friend is like also.

JU for LIFE

Attendance Policy . There is no such attendance policy here and you can come anytime in campus , no such restiction is there , you have a lot of free time so u can do coding or prepare for gate
Flexibility to choose exam dates yes semester date as well as we like . So we cab have 2-3 days break per semester exam , so there will not be situation to wake up nights on coffee

Dislikes

Old school way of teaching , no lab instrument is good
Quite bad classroom facility no smart board are there

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a rank and on my rank, I had 2 options either ETCE or IT, since IT is on the Salt Lake campus and the place is very dull I mean not much interaction is possible, so I chose ETCE since ETCE has a lot of higher studies opportunity as well. The course curriculum is good and up-to-date.

All you need to know about Jadavpur University

Likes

Placements are good. The placement coordinators are selected among the students which makes it easier for us to reach out to CPC
There are ample research opportunities. There are many well renowned professors under whom you can research
You will get enough time to explore different domains apart from college academics

Dislikes

The infrastructure and labs are not like NITs or IITs
While there are very good professors. Many professors also send Research Scholars to teach, who are not that good

Placement Experience:

From the 5th Sem there are Intership opportunities provided. Most of the big MNCs visit the college and IT companies prove over 10lpa packages. The highest package is around 50lpa within India and avaerage package for our department would be around 20lpa. Almost all students get placed. After getting degree I am getting a job

Best college for graduation in West Bengal within low fees.

Likes

The campus is big enough there is playgrounds and the campus is also clean enough.
There are a lot of cultural programs regularly.
The class environment is also very good.

Dislikes

I actually don't like the politics in my campus.
There are grouping among students on the basis of politics.
There is a lot of political influence. These are not good at all.

Placement Experience:

We have on campus placement in our college which itself is great and the packages offered to us is actually great. Especially in computer department the placement rate is also high and the amount of salary offered is also great.

My Childhood Dream Jadavpur University

Likes

The campus is very beautiful. There are many trees and field and also lakes in campus
There are separate buildings for separate engineering courses and you get many advantages of that.
The University not only teach you but give you the environment of your real life.

Dislikes

One thing is the campus is not too clean .
There are many buildings which are getting old but University don't repair that.
The University have not enough hostel rooms so many students have to stay in rent.

Placement Experience:

There is no question about the placement of Jadavpur University. Many companies of India and also outside India offer jobs in Jadavpurpur University. Some companies are Google , Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, PSU , Reliance, SBI etc. I am in first year so I don't know about how many jobs are offered. But I can surely say over 90% students are placed in these companies. The Highest package of JU is 1.8 cr and highest in Civil engineering is 25 LPA . Avarage package of civil engineering is 6.6 LPA and average package of CSE , IT , Etce is 20+LPA I will give Gate examination after getting B.E degree and want to do government job

The Pros and Cons of Jadavpur University.

Likes

The Affordability of this course, making income not a factor to pursue your education
The amount of freedom of expression you get in this college and the student union's support is very strong.
Especially in the CSE department, the overall academics, professors and placements are up to the mark.

Dislikes

Lack of proper infrastructure, outdated equipments, and lack of funding.
Too much political involvement of student might divert one from their original goal.
The girl to boy ratio is too less here which might be a problem for female students.

Placement Experience:

There is on-campus placement here, in the CSE department highest generally goes above 1-1.5 Cr per annum, while median is about 23 LPA. Due to recent recession in market, overall the placement of this year is a bit underwhelming than normal, but this might get fixed in the upcoming years. Big MNCs like Amazon offer placements here in various sectors such as IT, Finance, management, etc.
