I prefer Jadavpur University over other colleges as it provides better jobs,better ways for bigger achievements, world-wide connections through professors and chances to be part of great projects and ideas. To be honest I haven't applied for any other colleges through the admission process under WBJEE and got selected in Jadavpur in the first attempt. The admission process of Jadavpur Univesity is done through counselling under WBJEE board and based on the merit in basis of score got in the WBJEE exam. The cutoffs are usually high compared to other colleges in West Bengal and students can get admission only through the WBJEE exam. 1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score. To take admission in Jadavpur University one has to give WBJEE. Eligibility criteria : 2. Candidate must be atleast 17 years of age 3. Candidateshould have passed class 12 or equivalent with physics and maths along with any one of these subjects chemistry, biotechnology, biology, computer science, computer application, technical vocational subject with individual pass marks(in both theory and practical) 4.
