- Aap professors are very good and take know about the subject in detail and the love their subjects and teach us how to love the subject
- Jadavpur university has a strong track record of campus placements, with many students securing promising job opportunities in leading companies across various industries.
- The eligibility of the course for electronics and telecommunication engineering is you have to get a good marks and rank in wbjee exam, our department is second best after cse is the best department in our college
Dislikes
- Quality of faculty is not very good as the salaries are low. the flawed fees structure causes the university to be dependent on government funds and lack autonomy.
- The thing which i disliked is the level of difficulty in our syllabus..it's a bit tough.
- The infrastructure of the class and labs are not good due to lack of funds and skilled personnel at all levels.

Diverse course with inclusivity and encouragement towards modern methods of studying. Quite interdisciplinary and allowes exposure heightened experience and awareness. Audio amd visual approach to the study is encouraged allowing diversity and enhanced understanding of every course.

- First of all in 1 St year I experienced the most lovable thing is the guidance of seniors after visiting the campus first time and these was much valueable things that I want .The campus life in 1 St year filled with soo much excitement .
- In 2nd year I shared a much better boundless friendship with the college mates and this smoothly moves the college life .
- In 3rd year I experienced the life goes up and suddenly falls down with a little bitter smiley face due to our running internship season
Dislikes
- I dislike the kind of culture they borrowed and showing that they are showing fit and fine
- And the political agendas also destroy the campus into different bits
- And the process of execution of exams and decision making process of our beloved management heads is soo pour
Placement Experience:
Campus placement starts from internship of 3rd yr students and till last upto 4th year .
Till now my placement not started but by previous data I can say 100+ companies visited and 90% students got placed per year
Higest is 35lpa in sde role given by Amazon
After getting placed just join the company and work hard

Course Curriculum Overview:
As a department Civil Engineering has a very good opportunity in the future as most of the people are running behind computers and it. So there will be a scarcity of good Civil Engineers in the future. So go for it it's a good department but not so good in our University in terms of faculty. For example Mechanical Engineering and Electronics Engineering has much better faculty than ours. Other departments also have good faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:
THERE SHOULD BE A BIT OF IMPROVEMENT ON THE COURSE CURRICULUM AND SOME OF THE COURSE WORK SHOULD BE PLACEMENT ORIENTED IN THE FIELD OF TECH ALSO ESPECIALLY FOR CORE BRANCHES . SUBJECTS LIKE DATA SCIENCE AND AI CAN BE INTRODUCED FROM THE FIRST YR ITSELF . OTHERWISE THE COURSE WORK IS REALLY GOOD .
THE EXAMS ARE DIFFICULT AND IT SHOULD BE ALSO .

- Placements are really good with high packages and top MNCs
- Jadavpur University don't have attendance requirements for theoretical subjects so students can level up their skills or prepare for competitive exams or placements in home. It reduces a lot of pressure of going to the college everyday.
- The fests in Jadavpur University are very versatile and engaging. There are fests like Srijan which itself is a tech fest where students can participate in the events and compete with others in order level up their skillset.
Dislikes
- Although college provides huge placement opportunities, but the infrastructure to get skillful in order to get those opportunities is somewhere missing in the course curriculum.
- As students volunteer to become placement coordinators during the placements, there are often so many disputes and irregularities happen.
- Student politics in the university can be a nightmare sometimes.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placements in the 3rd year of the course during internship session. The companies that visit in the campus are CESC Limited, Texas Industries, NowPurchase, Airbus Early Bird, BNY Mellon, Wells Fargo, D. E. Shaw & Co, Optum, Schrodinger, Accenture. In 2023, the Highest Package was offered was INR 46.38 LPA and the Average Package was offered was INR 8.16 LPA. 94.44% eligible students were placed. I'd definitely prefer working for a MNC after I graduate.

- Student centric approach- The teaching method is very much student centric
- Discipline- The department teaches us the professionalism to be a Perfect Physical Education Teacher

- Politics in university- The influence of various Polictial parties are a curse for the university.
- Lack of Practical Infrastructure- Many practical classes are mismanaged due to lack of Practical infrastructure.
- Maintainance of the University Playground
Placement Experience:
Placement cell provides few oppotunities every year for many students with a average package, and as Physical Education has become a major subject now so the students can sit in Govt. Exams like JNV, KVS, DSSB, DAV, EMRS etc. for the post of TGT Physical Education.

- Jadavpur University is very popular for its strong academic programs & highly qualified faculty. all course fees are very low.
- Student community is very supportive. Strong bonding in between senior & junior.
- The placement cell is very active & help students secure internships & job placements with top companies.
Dislikes
- Jadavpur University struggles with inadequate infrastructure.
- Communication between students & administration are very slow.
- Hostel facilities needs to improve. Many students faces problems to get accommodation.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The Power engineering curriculum at Jadavpur University is well regraded for its depth and relevance. It includes core subjects like circuit theory, electrical machine, power system and control system. This curriculum is crucial for understanding real world power engineering challenges.

- The ambience of the college being tier 1 is the best out there in entire west bengal after the iits

Placement Experience:
Placements are fantastic in JU with an average package of over 20 lpa every year for CSE and IT departments. Even in core branches placement is fantastic and overall the average package ranges around 14lpa which is quite impressive.

- The flexibility and teaching style of professors. Whenever I had a doubt be it in course curriculum or related to extracurriculars, I would always find a professor by my side. Even if someone missed labs, he/she could do arrears for the missed lab.
- The strong friendship and bonding that the students shared among themselves.
- The strong placement and higher studies potential of the college students and research potential of the college as a whole.
Dislikes
- The course curriculum is more extensive than other colleges and GATE syllabus.
Placement Experience:
From 7th sem onwards, students may sit for on-campus placements.
Atleast 50 companies visit every year and nearly all students get placed.
Highest package = 50LPA and Average is nearly 15LPA
Above 80% students get placed every year (excluding higher studies students)
I am planning to do job for now and parallely prepare for a PhD degree from US or Canada.

From 5 or 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements.
from a core point of view Texas, aura semiconductor, SK Samanta, Bechtel, PWC, solar panel company, and from IT's Accenture, wipro, Microsoft, google etc.
The average package is 8lpa and the highest is 35 lpa apx.
Most of the students are placed,
Getting a good paying job and higher studies.
