IIT Kharagpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The average placement in this college is 10-12 lakhs. After that highest package was 2.5 cores. The students are eligible from 3rd year for the internship. In the final year, companies offer the job to students.

Placements in our college are enough good. You have to maintain a CG of more than 7.5 for a decent placement. You can sit for placement in your 3rd year through the CDC. More than 300 companies have approached us. Almost all big giant companies come to our college for Hiring like Microsoft, amazon, google, facbook, zomato, swiggy and so on. Our placement percentage is 70-80%.

Students at IIT Kharagpur are eligible for internships from the third year of btech program and the fourth year of the dual degree program. The highest package at our college in the last year was 2.6 crore per annum. The average package is 26 LPA. I would like to get placed or startup after the degree.

If you are B. Tech students, eligibility for campus Placements is in the seventh semester and if you are dual degree m.tech students, eligibility is in the ninth semester. There are a lot of companies visiting our campus like Google, Microsoft, Apple, DE shaw, JP Morgan, Goldmann Sachs, American Express, Alphonso, Walmart, ABinBev, Honeywell, HCL, Wipro, TCS, Infosys etc. No. Of offers made is approx 2000. The highest package is 2 crore from Facebook as a software engineer. An average package is 15 lacs. There are many profiles offered like software, Data science, MT, ET, finance, management, core etc. Approx more than 80% of students get placements and the rest are not sit in placement because of going for higher studies like MS, doing startups, preparing civil services, or engaging in other things.

Students are eligible for placement in their 4th year. Many companies come here for placements like Google, Microsoft, Bajaj, Havells, dell, hp and many more. The percentage of the student getting the placement is not so satisfying but it is around 35%. After getting the degree I will study for civil services.

One of the top 7 IIT's in India which are already known for their rich heritage and impeccable campus life. I opted for this specific campus cause i heard about it's campus life which is the best of all IIT's. Also, probably one of the top schools to study Civil Engineering in India as a B.Tech with professors having advanced degrees.

The negative remark is not about the college. It is about the place where it is situated. Kharagpur can not even called a city. The roads are really bad the place can be called underdeveloped. However the college campus is great and maintained very well.

Too big. But it's nice. Since it is too big you have to use bicycles if you want to goo anywhere. But it's nice as the girls are given equal rights here as they could stay out of their hostel even when it's dark. So it is also safe for girls.

The funding to the college is very high. In comparision to that , the facilities provided could be improved. The campus is open to locales also , which poses a threat to student community. Girls hostel have relatively less sports and tech facilities and also the entry exit rules for girls are much stricter. The boys have no such restrictions.

The Institute has a very positive influence on the lives of it's students. It develops the overall personality and character of an individual. The college provides the platform and facilities to it's students which can be used to grow and achieve their goals.
