Honestly speaking, a career in investment banking should not be considered by the new IIMs. It’s a too ambitious profile to match the relatively new curriculum of these IIMs. Even if you are in a top B School, you will have to remain among the top students to get placed for a front-end role. One can still get roles in corporate & business finance but getting roles in Investment Banking is rather difficult. Yet if you are not choosing an older IIM and want to choose a newer one, IIM Trichy is the best among them. The order is IIM Trichy > IIM Udaipur > IIM Ranchi There are many B Schools apart from IIMs that offer great Investment Banking roles. These include SPJIMR, JBIMS Mumbai, IIFT, and XLRI.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fees for the 2 year MBA course is Rs 17,30,000. Admission fees is Rs 25,0000; Course Fee is Rs 16,96,000; Caution deposit (refundable) is Rs 9,000. The charges of Mess is not included in it, which accounts to be around Rs 30,000 per Term. Thus, for the two years (6 Terms), it becomes Rs 1,80,000 approx. IIM Kashipur, IIM in the north - Don't believe in this tagline since IIM Jammu and IIM Sirmaur are present too

No academic culture on re appearing in failed subjects, have to carry the burden till graduation
Too many assignments and projects which sometimes makes students do sleepless nights

Total fees for 2 yrs of MBA in IIM Kashipur was Rs 16,00,000. Year wise paying was Rs 8,00,000 Scholarship availability are there for backward castes (OBC, SC, ST). Their scholarship was looked after by Ministry of Tribal affairs and Ministry of Social Justice.

Approx 50000 is offer acceptance fee and 262000 is term one fee after that you have to approx 20000 for every term mess fee because it's run by student and after that you have to pay 282000 for term 2&3 and 284000 for 4,5&6 or you can also apply for nsp or need base scholarship

As far as scholarships are concerned it depends on several factors such as academic performance, disciplinarity, etc. A candidate need to maintain minimum GPA to attain scholarship. Campus employment opportunity is also good in management colleges defining leaders of tomorrow.

IIM Kashipur student review

The course fees is one of the major concern for everyone which makes it a difficult step for everyone to take in order to get such a good education

The current tuition fees of the course including hostel fees is 18 lakhs which excludes the mess fees for so for each term. One have to pay 2,82,000 for one term that is three months and in each year we have three terms so which makes the course of totally 6 term courses ,2,82,000 consist of curriculum that is the course fee as well as the hostel fees. The total charges for 2years comes to be 18lakhs including everything. The need based scholarships are available to the students.

A mixed opinion of IIM Kashipur

Since I haven't availed for any loans or scholarships, I don't have much idea about this. But the college has partnered with SBI to provide cheap education loans to students, and there are also avenues for scholarships based on need or merit. The fees is admittedly high, but worth it considering everything we get.

The course curriculum is a very rigorous one and definitely challenges you to think more. The case based approach is the best part of this college.

The initial fees includes registration along with fees for term 1 which is roughly 3.36 Lakhs. From then on the fees for next 5 terms is 2.82 Lakhs. This fees includes academic fees, hostel facility and all other facilities except mess fees. At the start of every term, a fees of 20k rupees is paid for the whole term/three months. No other fees is taken. All of this amounts to a total of roughly 18 Lakhs. There is no sudden hike or changes in the fees, it is fixed. There are various scholarships available for students ranging from merit basis, need basis, meri-cum-need basis and various foundations also provide scholarship for students who meet their criteria. Scholarships ranging from 25k to 2Lakh per month are given. The campus also provides opportunities for live projects of 2-3 monthswhere you get paid or get certified by that organisation. A typical live project lasts 2 months and pays 3k per month. And the stipend for summer internships changes every year.
