Fees and Financial Aid:
Total fees for 2 yrs of MBA in IIM Kashipur was Rs 16,00,000. Year wise paying was Rs 8,00,000 Scholarship availability are there for backward castes (OBC, SC, ST). Their scholarship was looked after by Ministry of Tribal affairs and Ministry of Social Justice.

- Here faculties are very good they are support to everyone and encourage us in every good thing
- Environment is good many activities are held by our college

- Road connectivity is not good to go to Kashipur market
- Transportation charges are very to come college from railway station or city

Approx 50000 is offer acceptance fee and 262000 is term one fee after that you have to approx 20000 for every term mess fee because it's run by student and after that you have to pay 282000 for term 2&3 and 284000 for 4,5&6 or you can also apply for nsp or need base scholarship

- Hostel room sharing in first year which wasnt pre informed

The detailed fee breakup is provided in the offer letter. I incurred almost 20 lacs for the 2-year full time MBA including the hostel, mess and other fees. College provides great placement guidance and I was placed through on campus recruitment.

- More commerce oriented subjects. Lack of time in between trimesters.
Fees and Financial Aid:
As far as scholarships are concerned it depends on several factors such as academic performance, disciplinarity, etc. A candidate need to maintain minimum GPA to attain scholarship. Campus employment opportunity is also good in management colleges defining leaders of tomorrow.

- The diversity that i observed. People from different culture and cities across India have come together at one place to study. Different perspectives on topics and a healthy discussion.
- The hostel food. I can proudly say that our mess is one of the best mess of the IIMs in the country. The quality and taste are above par. Also there is no restriction on the quantity.

- Late response by the management on certain issues raised by students
- Certain biases during student committee's selection process

- The course fees is one of the major concern for everyone which makes it a difficult step for everyone to take in order to get such a good education
- The campus has less number of hostels compare to the number of friends. It is being accommodating by which the students
Fees and Financial Aid:
The current tuition fees of the course including hostel fees is 18 lakhs which excludes the mess fees for so for each term. One have to pay 2,82,000 for one term that is three months and in each year we have three terms so which makes the course of totally 6 term courses ,2,82,000 consist of curriculum that is the course fee as well as the hostel fees. The total charges for 2years comes to be 18lakhs including everything. The need based scholarships are available to the students.

- The placement cell is quite toxic maybe because of the work they have, but still
- Things get way too hectic at times and you may feel overwhelmed

Since I haven't availed for any loans or scholarships, I don't have much idea about this. But the college has partnered with SBI to provide cheap education loans to students, and there are also avenues for scholarships based on need or merit. The fees is admittedly high, but worth it considering everything we get.

- The Campus is very isolated and has almost zero accessibility to various cities.
- The Campus lacks Badminton court, Swimming pool and can also have more facilities in it as well.

The fees at IIM Kashipur increases or decreases according to the average package of the college recorded the previous year. The complete cost including Tuition fees, hostel and mess fess for the whole duration of the course is 18 lakhs. Scholarships at IIM Kashipur include: Need based, Need cum Merit based. Since this is my first year I have been awarded an Internship at Tata Capital.
Likes
- The course curriculum is a very rigorous one and definitely challenges you to think more. The case based approach is the best part of this college.
- IIM Kashipur has 41 student bodies and many events are organised throughout the year. It is a student led campus and students here get to learn a lot from this experience.
Dislikes
- There is very limited accessibility to Kashipur. There are not many direct trains and so it is difficult to reach here.
- More facilities on campus as it is quite a big campus and there's a lot of new facilities that can be introduced.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The initial fees includes registration along with fees for term 1 which is roughly 3.36 Lakhs. From then on the fees for next 5 terms is 2.82 Lakhs. This fees includes academic fees, hostel facility and all other facilities except mess fees. At the start of every term, a fees of 20k rupees is paid for the whole term/three months. No other fees is taken. All of this amounts to a total of roughly 18 Lakhs. There is no sudden hike or changes in the fees, it is fixed. There are various scholarships available for students ranging from merit basis, need basis, meri-cum-need basis and various foundations also provide scholarship for students who meet their criteria. Scholarships ranging from 25k to 2Lakh per month are given. The campus also provides opportunities for live projects of 2-3 monthswhere you get paid or get certified by that organisation. A typical live project lasts 2 months and pays 3k per month. And the stipend for summer internships changes every year.

- The distance is a little challenge for us
- Lack of public transport available outside the college

Are New IIMs (Trichy, Udaipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Raipur, Kashipur) good for MBA in Finance? If not suggest some B-schools. Really interested in investment banking.
Honestly speaking, a career in investment banking should not be considered by the new IIMs. It’s a too ambitious profile to match the relatively new curriculum of these IIMs. Even if you are in a top B School, you will have to remain among the top students to get placed for a front-end role. One can still get roles in corporate & business finance but getting roles in Investment Banking is rather difficult.
Yet if you are not choosing an older IIM and want to choose a newer one, IIM Trichy is the best among them. The order is
IIM Trichy > IIM Udaipur > IIM Ranchi
There are many B Schools apart from IIMs that offer great Investment Banking roles. These include SPJIMR, JBIMS Mumbai, IIFT, and XLRI.
