IIM Sambalpur MBA Admission Process
IIM Sambalpur follows a three-stage selection process, and the selection criteria will be applied in each phase:
Stage 1: CAT based Shortlisting
In stage 1, candidates will be shortlisted based on their score in the CAT exam. The candidates need to have a minimum overall and sectional percentile in CAT exam, in order to be considered for further evaluation in the admission Process. The overall CAT percentile required is 90.
Stage 2: Pre-Personal Interview Shortlisting
For all the candidates shortlisted in Stage 1 and who later successfully completed and
submitted the online application form, a Pre-PI Score will be calculated out of 80 as follows:
- CAT score = 40
- Class X = 3
- Class XII = 3
- Graduation = 4
- Work Experience = 20
- Gender Diversity = 10
Stage 3: Personal Interview and Final Merit List
- Based on the Stage-2 shortlist, all the eligible candidates will be required to attend the
- Personal Interview (PI) process conducted by IIM Sambalpur.
- The PI score obtained by the candidate, after being appropriately normalized, will account for 25% of the final merit score.

IIM Sambalpur Aptitude Test is conducted as a standard test alternative for EMBA and Executive Ph.D admission process. The IIMSAT consists of three sections similar to the CAT entrance test. IIMSAT score is mandatory for candidates without valid CAT/GMAT/GATE/GRE/JRF (as applicable) score to be eligible. The total number of questions in the test is 120 with 1 mark for each right answer.
