- Too much of power given to Placement Committee members
- No academic culture on re appearing in failed subjects, have to carry the burden till graduation
- Too many assignments and projects which sometimes makes students do sleepless nights
Course Curriculum Overview
It was a good experience. It prepares you to able to take some stress in near future. Frequency of exams were conducted within 2 months Students struggle if the get 3 failed subjects since re appearing in failed subjects were not there
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities were in many fields but mostly in the field of sales and marketing. Companies like ICICI Lombard, Yes Bank gave opportunites in finance and product role. Locations provided were hybrid, WFH, WFO Many startups comes to recruit students as an intern. Some companies even provides Internship and full time employment opportunities if students are able to crack case competition of the respective company
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements from the 2nd year. Companies like Bank of America, Barclays, KPMG, EY, PWC, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Accenture Strategy etc came to campus for recruitment Plans after getting my degree is to work in a good package in a decent company
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees for 2 yrs of MBA in IIM Kashipur was Rs 16,00,000. Year wise paying was Rs 8,00,000 Scholarship availability are there for backward castes (OBC, SC, ST). Their scholarship was looked after by Ministry of Tribal affairs and Ministry of Social Justice.
Campus Life
Campus life experience was good. Campus was fully student drive campus. It was greenery and the campus had an area of 200acre. Students can roam around at any time of their day and hangout nearby the lake which was present inside the campus. Sports facility was up to date and students interested in sports were happy about it in engaging with it. Clubs and committees were run by students and competitions were conducted with prize money by them. Had cultural fests for 3 days and 3 nights with Inter IIM competition held.
Admission
It was ranked among top 20 MBA colleges in India and 11th in IIM's. Did get rejected from all old IIM's and from Some new IIM's. Gave CAT entrance to get admitted to IIM Kashipur. Went through processes like Personal interviews and CV review.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio was good. Some faculty used to listen to students academic stress and help them out. Faculties were all highly qualified who also works for governments and PSU'S in policy making. There were 6 term exams in 2yrs of MBA. And the grading system were in bell curve
Interview Experience
Yes, Interview was conducted before taking admission in IIM Kashipur. After clearing the cut off of CAT entrance candidates recieves mail from respective IIMs based on their scorecard and are asked to fill up the form provided by them. Once the eligibility criteria are fulfilled after the form IIM's send another mail regarding WAT (Written Admission Test), after the this process Interview is conducted and final offer is released after calculating a score which ois done by respective IIM's administration.
