I am from IIM Kashipur which is a great college in the north.IM Kashipur is a comparatively newer IIM established in the year 2011. Being less than a decade old, it has not been able to mark their place in the so-called ·Top 10 B-schools list yet. However, it has shown great growth in terms of placements and aspirants interested over the last few years. Certain parameters to better gauge the Institute are:Courses offered:MBA and MBA Analytics

IIM Kashipur is one of the first 13 IIMs and it was initially mentored by IIM Lucknow and that is why the course, curriculum, and faculty is one of the best of allMost of the faculty remain accessible, beyond the classroom. The institute has a decent student-faculty ratio at an overall level

For example, in the early 2010s, many activists in the middle east used Twitter and Facebook to organise protests with the aim to bring political change. It resulted in Arab spring.Earlier, people used to distribute pamphlets over a span of a few days or months to gather people at a particular place to protest. Now, with the tools of technology, the process is a lot quicker. We can inform people and organise a protest within a day.Now, it is very easy to launch a campaign. Anyone can launch the campaign online and can gather support in much less time. With time, society throws us new challenges and that results in the need for new social movements. For example, the social movement against plastic pollution is relatively new and it is a global movement. These movements need support and genuine discussions worldwide. That is now possible due to the tools of technology.

I have spent the best time of my life at RIT

I liked the classrooms very much, because classroom was having AC.
A bench in the ground , me and my friends used to sit there.
During my time college focused more on industrial and practical exposure

Dislikes

Some times i did not liked the mess food. It was okayish
The burden of classes. Classes start from 9am and end at 5PM

Faculty members are generally qualified and approachable, and students can seek help with academics and projects.
students should supplement the university curriculum with industry certifications, coding practice, internships, GitHub projects and real-world development work.
There are cultural events, technical activities, clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. Hostel students can participate fairly actively in campus events.

Dislikes

The main improvement I'd look for would be more advanced, industry-standard laboratory equipment and greater practical exposure.
I couldn't find a reliable current official university figure for the overall girls-to-boys ratio.
The ratio can also differ substantially between CSE, other engineering branches and the university as a whole.

Placement Experience:

Haridwar University provides regular campus-placement opportunities across IT, core engineering and other sectors. The university reports strong overall placement activity, but programme-wise salary and placement data are limited publicly, so students should ask for CSE-specific statistics before admission.

i liked my campus life especially the academic activities in which we were participated , commercio fista was organised by mba students where we installed our own lil shops in the campus and earned
we went for the industrial visits like mother dairy delhi, SEBI noida, KPMG and our batch got so much industrial exposue in my time
Our classes was full air conditioned and for mba students we have sepration seminar hall also we have incubation cell for the new start ups

strict rules for attendance, it should be 75 percent or above

i have done my graduation in 2024, in my 3rd semester placement was started that time our tpo was rajvardhan sir , i called so many companied in the campus for the placement finastra was one of then, i have cleared 3 rounds of finastra 1st was apptitude, then technical round then PI with HR in delhi office in feb 2024 i have got my offer letter and then july i have joined finastra just after my final exams got over, RIT and expecially members of placement are very proactive about their work , after 1 year in 2025 i went again in rit for the alumni meet my experience in rit was very good

I dislike dislike in this college is the administration, not so much good, and there are many things that should be improved like Hostel, et cetera

Holistic Review of MBA at IIM Kashipur

Likes

It's a student run campus which means that important decisions regarding students are taken by the student bodies.
The campus is beautiful and lush. The architecture of buildings are well though of made to keep buildings cool during summers and hot during winters.
The campus is very happening. Several cultural events occur.

Dislikes

As the town Kashipur is not very developed, there is not much of metro-city life or such amenities
The boys to girls ratio for core program is 4:1 and the opposite for the analytics program which makes the class interactions disproportionate, It should be uniform.
You can't order food from online platforms here as the city is remote so one has to resort to the options present on campus which turns out to be pretty limited in number and quality.

Placement Experience:

As soon as the second year starts, companies start coming for placements. These include ICICI bank, Wellsfargo, Genpact, Amazon, TresVista, Havells, TVS, Tech Mahindra etc. The highest package goes around to be 40-50 Lacs while average is around 14-15 Lacs. Almost all get placed while the rest opt-out from the process either for off-campus offers or pursuing higher education.

The IIM of the North

I found the admission process easier (Level Medium on Difficulty scale). The process started with the CAT application form, then the CAT exam, followed by a call letter for an Interview and then the selection email. Real college experience

To get into IIM you need to take a CAT entrance exam. The minimum required percentage is 80% for the ST, SC, and 99% and above for the General category. The application form is available on the internet from September to October and the exam is held at the end of November. The application fees for ST, SC, and OBC categories are 1000/- and that of the general category is more than 2000/-. For the reservation category, there are benefits of a little lesser application fee and a lower percentage required to enter a college but the seats are limited for them. The exam is mostly held on Sundays, and timings are also convenient as it has 3 shifts of 7-10 am, 11-2 pm, and 3-6 pm. If study hard and work on the core subjects that come in exam can ace the exam.
