Remarks

I converted iim Kashipur, Rohtak, Raipur, Udaipur (very late), Jammu, Bodh Gaya. The placement stats of new IIMs were similar and Kashipur was my first convert. I liked the campus very much while others were yet to move to permanent campuses. Also got good feedback from alums

Course Curriculum Overview

I took general management. The choice was based on my electives which i took based on the course outlines. Faculty were very good - excellent faculty for operations. Most faculties had published multiple papers in their area and encouraged higher class participation. Exam/ class slots were fixed and the schedules were dynamic.

Internships are also student driven Companies: puma, Deloitte, icici bank, Tata capital etcProfile: product management, consulting etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Scholarship- I got none. But there are merit/ means based scholarships Course fee- similar to other IIMs (now fee has been hiked) and only additional component is mess feePlacements- very good. Im in an operations profile with Indegene

Campus Life

The institute has over 30 student run bodies. The placements, mess, college infrastructure are specifically student run. Fests: Agnitraya (November), tedx, Uttishta- entrepreneurship event (around December), many student run intra college events in sports/ cultural/ managerial areasLibrary resources- all available online now. We also have a student run olx like website Sports- badminton, tennis, basketball, football, table tennis, carroms, volleyball, frisbee Classroom: air conditioned, water coolers outside, projector, boards, WiFi

WAT and PI: used material from TIME and career launcher. This is a part of the common admission process followed by most IIMs. The tests are standard but the profile weightage is different for different IIMs

RIT ROORKEE - A great choice for education

Likes

i like the teaching methodology of the professors
the environment of the college is very positive
each & every faculty member are very helpfull

Dislikes

city area is small, but there is many things to explore
college is very strict about attendance but it makes you punctual
you will get limited opportunity but that are excellent

Placement Experience:

There is a separate & totally dedicated Traning & placement cell. In all branches they are providing excellence placement opportunities. in the last year of my btech, approx 50+ companies visited with great packages.

The faculty members are approachable, experienced, and provide regular mentorship along with particular case based learning

the batch demographics are slightly shewed

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cousse curriculum is well structured and cover both foundational theories and practical concept. which was key reason for choosing this program. it provides a solid acedemic base for higher studies and includes case studies and group projects that help bridge the gap toward real world application. however there is still room for improvement in increasing hands on in increasing hand on industry explosure moder tool integreation and practical workshop rather than leaning primarily on conventional textbook learning

The cafeteria is now wide and also breathable as they worked on infra
There faculties are knowledgable and also cooperative

The washroom area should be more good and hygiene

The warden behavior sometimes very rude towards students of hostel

A Balanced MBA experience with Good Campus Life and Industry Exposure at UPES

One of the best thing about the college is its green and well mainatained infrastructure. The campus is surrounded by nature creating a peaceful and positive learning environment.

Placement Experience:

Placement at UPES are decent and students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final year. Companies from different sectors visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in management, logistics and consulting.

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

The faculty here is very helpful and they teach only realvent things about your course and they also provide you day to day notes and assingmemts for your daily prep

Dislikes

There is no such things that i did not like in this collage but if i have to say something i will go with the canteen service is very bad and not very friendly

Course Curriculum Overview:

On expericing day to day people and theirs pain in the muscle and joints . This made me decide why i should choose this course . The area which they need for improvement is if they give more attetion to some sports that will be very greatful for the students so that they can have some fun other study and stress. The timing of the collage is 9 to 5 and if you have any exam or practicals only then they call you on specific time and regular classes are off on that day duration of the exam is 1.5 hours

I found the admission process easier (Level Medium on Difficulty scale). The process started with the CAT application form, then the CAT exam, followed by a call letter for an Interview and then the selection email. Real college experience

To get into IIM you need to take a CAT entrance exam. The minimum required percentage is 80% for the ST, SC, and 99% and above for the General category. The application form is available on the internet from September to October and the exam is held at the end of November. The application fees for ST, SC, and OBC categories are 1000/- and that of the general category is more than 2000/-. For the reservation category, there are benefits of a little lesser application fee and a lower percentage required to enter a college but the seats are limited for them. The exam is mostly held on Sundays, and timings are also convenient as it has 3 shifts of 7-10 am, 11-2 pm, and 3-6 pm. If study hard and work on the core subjects that come in exam can ace the exam.
