NDUAT offers more than 100 UG and PG programs through the Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test. UPCATET 2025 examination was conducted on June 11-12, 2025, with results declared on June 23, 2025.

Eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 with relevant subjects and a minimum of 50% marks for UG programs and a Bachelor's degree with 60% marks for PG programs.

NDUAT Admission

NDUAT offers UG and PG programs in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, and more. Admission to the UG programs is based on UPCATET UG scores and admission to 2-year Master's programs is based on UPCATET PG scores or ICAR AIEEA PG scores.

NDUAT UG Admission

NDUAT UG admission is based on UPCATET scores, followed by counselling and document verification. The university offers 4-year and 5-year UG programs with specialisations in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, and more.​

NDUAT PhD Admission

NDUAT PhD program is a research-intensive degree with a minimum duration of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years. It offers doctoral programs in 38 specialisations across Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry, Fisheries, and Community Science.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD categories)
  • Candidates with NET/GATE/ICAR-JRF qualifications are preferred
  • Relaxation of 5% marks for candidates with professional qualifications

Selection Process:

  1. Written Entrance Test: University-conducted entrance examination
  2. Interview: Personal interview with subject experts
  3. Research Proposal: Presentation of proposed research work
  4. Final Selection: Based on combined performance in entrance test and interview​

Fellowship Opportunities:

  • ICAR JRF: INR 31,000 per month + HRA
  • ICAR SRF: INR 35,000 per month + HRA

NDUAT Admission Process

NDUAT conducts admission for UG and PG programs based on scores obtained in the UPCATET or ICAR AIEEA examination. The admission process at NDUAT involves appearing for the entrance examination, registration on the admission portal, and the counselling process.

NDUAT Admission is conducted through the following process:

Step 1: Register for the Entrance Examination

NDUAT admissions for all courses are based on scores obtained in UPCATET or ICAR AIEEA entrance examination. To apply for admission at NDUAT, candidates must register for the following entrance examinations:

Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam

Candidates who filled out the application form must appear for the entrance examination as per the schedule. The UPCATET 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in June 2026.

Step 3: Registration on NDUAT Admission Portal

Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination must register on the NDUAT official admission portal for counselling. Once the registration is done, candidates have to fill out their college and course preferences. The registration portal for admission is: @www.nduat.org

Step 4: Counselling and Seat Allocation

The counselling process will be done in multiple rounds. NDUAT will release merit lists based on UPCATET/ICAR AIEEA scores. Candidates will be called for counselling based on their rank in the entrance examination.

Step 5: Document Verification and Final Admission

After seat allocation, candidates must attend the document verification process at the university. Required documents include:

  • Mark-sheet of the qualifying degree
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Caste certificate (if required)
  • Income certificate
  • Medical certificate
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate
  • UPCATET/ICAR AIEEA admit card and scorecard

Upon approval of documents, candidates will have to pay the admission fee to confirm their admission.

NDUAT CutOff

The expected UPCATET cut-off for 2025 is provided below. Anything above 400 is considered a very good score. The UPCATET cutoff might vary depending on the number of students, level of difficulty and seats available.

NDUAT follows the Uttar Pradesh government reservation policy for admissions:

There is no negative marking, and the question paper is bilingual (Hindi and English).

Ques. How many counselling rounds are conducted for NDUAT admission?

Ans. NDUAT conducts multiple counselling rounds (typically 3 regular rounds) for seat allocation. Round 1 is the initial seat allotment, followed by Round 2 and Round 3 for vacant seats and upgradation. If seats remain vacant after regular rounds, spot counselling may be conducted. Ques. Is NEET required for B.V.Sc admission at NDUAT?

Ans. No, NEET is not required for B.V.Sc. & A.H. admission at NDUAT. Admission is based on UPCATET scores only. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCB subjects and minimum 50% marks, and must qualify in the UPCATET entrance examination conducted specifically for UP state agriculture universities.

Ques. What is the seat acceptance fee for NDUAT?

Ans. The seat acceptance fee for NDUAT is INR 10,000, which is non-refundable across all categories. This fee must be paid by candidates after seat allotment during counselling to confirm their admission. Candidates seeking upgradation in subsequent counselling rounds must also pay this fee initially, and it will not be refunded even if they upgrade to a different seat.

I have applied one more other college in counselling, I got the other college but by upgradation i got this ,i have chosen this because this is old one so obviously well maintained than the other , but now the other colleges are also nice and worth it to apply. Admission process by two entrance test one by upcatet and neet In upcatet,The top rankers till 150 rank get veterinary BVSc & AH then agriculture then horticulture then community sciences on free seat. By neet , admission are also done by veterinary counselling of India after mbbs counselling at low marks than for mbbs . Candidate must be 17 years old and pcb marks requirement is about 50% .

For UG level courses eligibility is 12th pass with PCB as subjects for Veterinary Science. UPCATET Application forms generally comes in month of April and application fees is around Rs 2000 while exam is conducted in month of June.
