Placements at IIT Kanpur are solely the reason why it's called one of the best institutes in the world. The highest package is around 4 crores. An average package is about 22 LPA. Almost 960 out of 1000 people get employed every year.

Many high-tech companies come here to recruit and IIT Kanpur has one of the highest packages which is around 4 crores this year and also a very good amount of average package of around 20 lakhs. Around 98% of students get placed. I would go for a Master' degree.

Lots of opportunities with good campus life

Placement Experience:

Placements generally start after our seventh semester and continue for another semester. Roughly seventy percent of our seniors got placed. Preparation for placements is encouraged and supported. Most students opt for jobs.

Placement Experience:

4th years students are eligible for placements. And many companies come in my college. Some of which are very good. Placement statistics are very efficient in my college. Above 80 percent students are getting placement every years

B.Tech. - IIT KNP (KANPUR)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is divided into 4 years and in 8 semesters. I chose this course as always had a dream of teaching in IIT being a professor in IIT so I did BTECH followed by Mtech and now pursuing a Ph.D. In IIT KNP. The teachers were really brilliant and are almost all of them are Ph.D. holders from various IITs. Exams are held semester-wise and at the end of each sem.

IIT Kanpur Rview

Placement Experience:

The college is among the top 5 institutes of India so the placement without a doubt is according to the college standard and name. The college maintains a record of 100% placement and the highest salary offer was around 2 CPA and the average salary offer is around 25 LPA. Axtria, EXL, Goldman Sachs, OLA, Uber are the major recruiters for the college. Few of my batchmates received a pre-placement offer from which I am also the one that received a pre-placement offer.

IIT Kanpur Review

Placement Experience:

The college placements are as per the standards of IITs. and we all know that the IITs, NITS, and IIMs provides one of the best placements in India. The college has a record of 100% placement. The college placement committee is very supportive and the college placement committee is fully responsible for our performance during the placement rounds as the committee provides assistance and guidance during placements. The highest package for our batch was around 65 LPA and the average salary package was around 20 LPA. 95+ companies visited our campus for the college placement drive.

Placement Experience:

India's Best college for B.Tech

Placement Experience:

IIT is considered as the "first stop" for all the multi-national companies and other organizations for the purpose of recruitment. 95% of the students got placed in my batch. Overseas placements were also done depending on your capability. Highest CTC went around Rs.62 LPA. This was the highest CTC offered till date in the records of IIT. Top participants of the placement week were Microsoft, Intel Corporation, Amazon, Google, Tata Consultancy, Qualcomm, Goldmann Sachs, Apple Inc. and Flipkart.

Is IIT Guwahati becoming the next IIT Kanpur?

Both IIT Guwahati and IIT Kanpur are well-respected institutions, known for their high-quality education and research. Comparing the two is already justified and saying that one institution is becoming the next of the other is more so. Both institutions have their strengths and areas of expertise. Yet, if I was to choose one I would have always gone for IIT Kanpur.

Some points that favor my preference are as follows:

The quality of coursework at IIT Kanpur is extremely challenging and will keep you on your toes always. It offers the best quality of education and you will learn much more than other IITs if you are regular to classes and take your academics seriously,
The usual schedule of a student at IIT Kanpur is not always jammed, unlike the general opinion. The timings of the clubs align with the classes and you can take out time for both if you are good at managing your time well.
Another challenging aspect of IIT Kanpur is its tough grading system, (10,8,6,4..) under which anything below 10 is 8. Thus you are under tremendous pressure to maintain your CGPA and is enough of a motivating factor.

Overall, even if Guwahati was to be compared to IIT Kanpur, it still has a long way to go until it becomes the next IIT Kanpur.
