IIT Kanpur Placements 2025–26 Day 1 Records 672 Offers; 16% Rise from Last Year

Pre-placement offers (PPOs) increased by 27% with 253 offers. Nine students secured international offers on the first day of placements.

IIT Kanpur Placement 2025–26 Day 1 Breaks Record with 672 Job Offers

IIT Kanpur has started its 2025–26 placement season with a record-breaking Day 1. The institute received 672 job offers on the first day, the highest number ever recorded for IIT Kanpur. This is also a 16% increase compared to last year’s Day 1 total.

By the end of the day, 627 students had already been placed. Out of these, 253 were Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), meaning these students had received job offers even before the placement season began. PPOs also increased by 27% compared to last year, showing strong interest from companies.

This year, students also received 9 international job offers on Day 1. These offers came from companies hiring for roles outside India.

More than 250 companies are participating in the IIT Kanpur placement drive this year. Some of the top recruiters on Day 1 included Accenture, BlackRock, HSBC, SAP, Airbus, PwC, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank and several others. These companies visited the campus for both technical and non-technical job roles.
