SASTRA BALLB Admission 2026

Admissions to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at SASTRA are conducted in two phases. Phase I is based on CLAT 2026 scores, while Phase II uses a combined merit score giving 50% weightage to CLAT 2026 scores and 50% weightage to Class XII board marks. Students who have not appeared for CLAT are still eligible for Phase II, with their CLAT score treated as 0. The application process is entirely online through the official SASTRA admissions portal.

Note: CLAT 2026 has already been conducted. Scores are valid for Phase I and Phase II admissions at SASTRA for the 2026 batch.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed Class XII (Higher Secondary) in the academic stream only from a recognised board in the first attempt.
• Minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Class XII with English as a compulsory subject of study (as per SASTRA's official admissions FAQ 2026).
• Age: The applicant should not have completed 19 years as on August 1, 2026.
• CLAT 2026 score is required for Phase I; for Phase II, CLAT score is preferred but not mandatory (treated as 0 if not appeared).

Admission Process

• Submit a single online application form at the official SASTRA admissions portal (webstream.sastra.edu).
• Enter CLAT 2026 score and Class XII marks in the application form.
• Phase I counselling is conducted based on CLAT 2026 scores from April 20, 2026.
• Phase II counselling is conducted from June 6, 2026 based on combined merit score (50% CLAT + 50% Class XII).
• Provisional admission letter is sent to selected candidates by email.
• Complete fee payment online to confirm the seat.
• No separate application is needed for Phase I and Phase II; the same form is used for both.

SASTRA BALLB Scholarships 2026

SASTRA University offers merit-based scholarships to law students post-admission, primarily based on CGPA and academic performance. SASTRA BALLB Placement 2026

The School of Law at SASTRA has a dedicated placement cell that facilitates campus placements for law students. Law placements differ from engineering streams as many students opt for litigation, higher studies, judiciary, or independent practice. The placement ratio for the School of Law stands at approximately 70%, with an average package of Rs. 7 LPA. Top recruiters include leading law firms, corporate houses, and consulting firms. Students are placed in roles such as Corporate Lawyer, Legal Associate, In-House Counsel, Compliance Officer, Legal Advisor, and Junior Advocate.
