Cybersecurity is a great discipline for a PG degree in Computer Science. It has huge scope in research and jobs in the industry. However, Karunya University is deemed to be a university with minority status. It ranks lower than IITs, NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, State Universities, and reputed Govt. University colleges like UVCE Bangalore, CEG Chennai, etc. However, their MTech program has tie-ups with foreign universities. But don’t expect much from the University. I am saying this because my brother is an alumnus of the university. The education quality of the University is poor. Only a few of the faculty members are academically qualified but, they are incapable of teaching. They lack the ability to provide real-time explanations for any problem. However, IAESTE is a way through which you can get exposure in your field of study. In fact, it is the only way through which you will get exposure in your field of study. To conclude, Karunya University is definitely not the first choice for an M.Tech in Cybersecurity but it is not a bad choice either.

How many marks should a candidate score in higher secondary examination to get admission for B.Tech degree at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences?

A candidate should score a minimum of 60% in Maths, Physics and Chemistry to get admission for B.Tech degree. For B.Tech Bio branches, students from Computer Science and Biology are also considered. For core engineering branches, A pass in 10+2 Vocational stream (with the subjects General machinist, electrical machines and appliances, electronic equipments, draughtsman civil, auto mechanic, textile technology, etc.) with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with minimum average percentage put together 60%.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The facility that they provide on the campus and the hostel is worth paying the fee. I didn't get any scholarship or got into the campus interview while I was studying there. But they provide students with financial assistance if they have a good CGPA in their previous semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities:

Fee hike is decided by the university based on Government policies. Fee structure and other details can be found in university portal -------> https://www.karunya.edu/ In my case it is 25,000 per semester and in the first semester you need pay 20, 000 as admission fee and other thing.Scholarship can be availed based on your merit you need have 60% or above to avail it. Campus placements are good but you cant find that many MNCs and good companies
