Fees and Financial Aid

This is the first batch for master's in forensic science we have total of 5 students as this is the very first batch yearly fees is 70000 which h can pay by each semester 35000 admission happens on merit basis and get a scholarship on the basis of merit faculty is good but too many rules and regulations to follow. There u have to pay 10000 which include 8000 for seat lock and 2000 caution money . Library fees , sports and other activities also include 2000 amount. There is hospital available for the students which provides medical facilities free of cost. Many Hostels and pg are available near the college and inside the college affordable for everyone. As it is semi government college so u can get the recognition and the most good thing that u get clear degree if having any backlogs they won't show in the degree. Not a best option but if last option or other not available then u can choose it

Faculty

Question paper of exams are not too easy not too difficult but if you have studied then u can easily pass in examm . Some teachers are very excellent they become friends with students and help them with studies and exams and many other things yes some teachers' are way too strict and have a superiority complex in them they don't make any interaction with students which can cause problems

There is an admission fee of 20000?. Then a miscellaneous fee of 5000 should be given. The yearly fee is about 120000? and it has to be given semester wise. Additional fees like lab fee, maintenance fee etc are also paid.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum didn't upset my decision of choose this course. Due to the laboratory facilities, it helps me to be prepared for the real life situations. The syllabus covering and exam timings are accurate.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is purely scientific, it is very in - depth and complicated than expected. The teaching methods are both therotical and practical. They update it every year as required. It can be exhausting sometimes, but that it expected in any university. The university is equipped with labs, libraries and knowledge centers to aid in the learning process

Faculty

Although some faculty members are excellant, there are some others who lack the skills required and need serious training. The course curriculum and exam models although exhausting, are well structured and updated as required. It really depends on your field of study.

Campus Life

We have NFSU day on 5 october but this year there was no annual or sports day around that time because the whole campus was under staffed. The books and journals are really good, but for the journals we have to have online access as the library is small so only important books are kept there. The facilites and technologies for labs of some subjects is really high definition and is one of a kind i.e our fingerprint and questioned documents department. Some labs are still being renovated and getting cleaned so there is a lot of way to go in that aspect for other labs in the campus. There are a lot of social groups ranging from management clubs, sports club, writing clubs, educational clubs and they all dedicate their time for the betterment of student life experience.

Internships Opportunities

A lot of big companies do come in our college for placements but they are only there for cyber security graduates and cyber department. I haven't gotten any information about the placement upportunities for forensic science graduates yet. There are always projects going on for students to participate in, as i am also focusing in the research aspect of forensic science. I have gotten a lot of positive encouragement from my professors, so i dont feel like that only placement is one aspect of doing anything meaningful after graduation. The do give one and half month of internship opportunities in different Forensic science laboratories, police station and other government agencies as well.

Faculty

The facultt to student relationship is surprisingly quite fascinating. They understand that you are adults and they won't boss you around, rather they will ask for your inputs and will make approaching them very very easy. You will be having 4 sets of exams. The first one is TA 1 which is MCQ based. Mid semester exams follow that, and then there is TA 2 which is assignment based. Then comes the final semester.

Campus Life

The institute also features a great campus and social life with many helpful clubs for research, crime scene analysis, and many workshops. There will be a grand fresher, dandiya night, annual fest, and many other events that you can be a part of. You will also be visiting many places as the college encourages you to participate in many outdoor competitions.

Course Curriculum Overview

Here the exams are condicted semester wise and each semester contains Mid 1 and Mid 2 and a annual exam, the exams are moderate level and you will have to study to pass the exams. The curriculum is determined by the UGC norms and the university strictly follows it and I choose this university for its certification value. The number faculty should be increased in each department for a fruitful results of students.

Faculty

The faculties are less in my opinion , but they are good. There are more assistant proffesors and phd scholors in every department. My learning experience is good , the theory part is explained well but this university lack in practical expirence. The interaction with the faculty is moderate in my opinion and all the faculty is good and gives time to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course has one of the best curiculum it contains many interdiscipilinary subjects such as forensic biology , Serology, Toxicology, Anthropology, Fingerprints, Questioned Documents. This course provides hands on training for the feild work be it crime scene management or in any Laboratory. The areas for improvement are involvement of real life demonstrations. In a semester There are 2 Mid Semester Exams Out of which Mid 2 Is fully assignment based and one End semester examination

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees here is very low priced it is approximate 3000 Rs per semester with additional 1200 Rs as exam fees. The complete cost of this course would be arround 25000 Rs . The state government provides scholarship to SC and ST students. but there is no such scholarship from the university The campus employment here is decent for my course it is 2-3 placement companies and major job roles are as intern or Insurance claim Investigator and assistant Profesor.

Campus Life

There are no such festivals held by the campus and there are less co-curricular activities. Even if held they are not that much supported and funded. The books and journals available in the library is extensive. The facilities are similar to any other universities with none to little technological provisions. There is no such clubs or social groups in universities, as the faculties do not support these things and when someone raises their voice they are suppressed.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is somewhat manageable as the faculties are less but they are highly professional and have very experience in the field of forensic science. In field of forensic science they are considered best so despite having less faculty the department of forensic science of DHSGU is counted among the elite list of departments of forensic science with their students placed all over India and contributing to the justice and development of country.

I have always been fascinated with the Word Forensic when I came to know that this course is much more than a criminal investigations then I chose this interesting course and this course has good career opportunities. The course curriculum needs to be made more practical and field visits should be included. The exams are conducted thrice in a semester. You have to mid sem exams which are easy to moderate. And final semester exams are moderate to little bit difficult.

Faculty

The faculty members are highly qualified. Here are the best professors of the country who provide quality education and practical based learning to the students. Some of the professors contribute to the world top 2% scientists. The faculty to students ratio is qute good. The faculty is having very good teaching skills. We can interact with our teachers as often we required. You're really free to ask the questions in the classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview

The campus provide hands on experience in this course. The curriculum is updated according to the new trends in the field of forensic science. They provide hands on experience on case studies, projects, laboratory experiments and whole crime scene investigation exposure from the 1st step reaching to crime scene till getting it the evidence collected packed and sent to the particular department for their examination. Here we have learnt about FIR (First Information Report) proper sealing of evidence and labelling them. They have prepared us for real world crime investigation. But i think their is still some improvement is needed in curriculum as the course provides us all the detailed learning about the laboratory related and investigation related things but with upcoming trends i think we should also learn the crime related to digital platforms like cyber crime, frauds, scams, Phishing which are new crime trends in our society so that we can get more job opportunities in forensic field

Campus Life

Overall campus life was fantastic, i enjoyed my campus time. There are so many festivals and events are conducted during my time like freshers party, teacher's day celebration, Valentine's whole week celebration which used to include lots of games and prizes. Our college also conduted blood donation campaign in college, sports day in which didifferent sports were played by students at various levels, college election were also held at our college. Our college library was full of different course books and journals even they provide others books also other than course book for some extra knowledge and entertainment like novels, biographies and story books too. There are many social groups, clubs and student portals in our college
