Dislikes
- The campus still prefers and sides with law students more than the forensic ones.
Course Curriculum Overview
As the institute is affiliated to the National Forensic Sciences University, the curriculum here is very updated and up to the mark. It prioritises practical knowledge as much as it does the theoritical one.
Internships Opportunities
Under forensic science course, you will be getting many internship opportunities with private and government labs where you can start your career even in the middle of your course. It will go side by side.
Fees and Financial Aid
The current fees for M. Sc. Forensic Science is total 240000, i.e. 60000 per semester. This is excluding the hostel fees. As these fees are sanctioned by NFSU, there is no scholarship available. However, you can apply using other quotas.
Campus Life
The institute also features a great campus and social life with many helpful clubs for research, crime scene analysis, and many workshops. There will be a grand fresher, dandiya night, annual fest, and many other events that you can be a part of. You will also be visiting many places as the college encourages you to participate in many outdoor competitions.
Admission
I applied to other colleges including DDU, Dehradun, Jain University, and others. But I chose LIFS mainly due to its affiliation with NFSU. The admission process here at Lloyd is quite smooth. However, you do need to undergo a screening test including an exam and a personal interview. You can give NFAT for admission or apply directly.
Faculty
The facultt to student relationship is surprisingly quite fascinating. They understand that you are adults and they won't boss you around, rather they will ask for your inputs and will make approaching them very very easy. You will be having 4 sets of exams. The first one is TA 1 which is MCQ based. Mid semester exams follow that, and then there is TA 2 which is assignment based. Then comes the final semester.
