Course Curriculum Overview
Crime scene management and introduction to forensic science really influenced my interest as I was always interested in true crime and I wanted to study forensics The curriculum also comprises of practical based learning so I can say we are pretty well prepared for real world applications Areas of improvement: more exposure to the subject and I would teaching us in a way where we not just understand the concept but how to apply that in real life The end sem will go on for 3 hours and the mid sem for about 1.30 hours and the terminal assessment is of 45 minutes Difficulty level is moderate
Internships Opportunities
The national forensic science university (NFSU) has a placement cell that connects students with companies for internships and career opportunities. Some companies that have recruited from NFSU Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, ICICI, CISCO Various FSL's, private forensic firms
Placement Experience
I'm a first year student so I don't have much knowledge about the placements as I'm still figuring out everything and am in the learning phase My plans after getting the degree would be working in law firms

Admission
I applied for RV institute of legal studies (Bangalore) for their course Bsc(hons) forensic science and criminology. I chose NFSU as it is a national college recognised by the government of India which assures me of better placements. I didn't get a rejection as I did not apply for a lot of universities Eligibility for NFSU must have completed their +2 Exams accepted NFAT, JEE There is no particular cutoff as NFAT is subject to differences in marks every year but on an average your goal should be atleast 80/100 marks
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio: 8:60 The faculty members are pretty approachable The crime scene management faculty,, the chem faculty and the environmental studies faculty they're pretty good with explaining topics The computer science faculty as student teacher interaction is very poor There are mainly 3 written exams per semester TA1 Mid sem and the end sem And TA2 is the assignments which would reward you 25 marks I would say the papers are well set the difficulty is moderate and I'm not really sure about the ratio of the students failing as we don't have access to that information
Night Life
You're not allowed out of the campus on weekdays but on the weekends you can go out with prior permission also the campus is on the outskirts of the city so it's hard to access gyms, cafeterias, etc Hostel in timings: 10 pm The campus is very safe at night as no trespassers are allowed in and the security is very good
