- The college has opportunities of scholarships for students have family income less than 10 lakhs and the college is great helper in these cases
- Computer engineering students enjoy excellent placement opportunities, whereas for other branch students, there are fewer companies specifically in the core biotechnology sector.
- The campus infrastructure is one of the best thing, it's pretty, filled with beautiful buildings, comfortable classes fully air conditioned, greenery all around sports complex running lanes, during winters and autumn the weather is so pleasant here.
Dislikes
- I understand that there is a placement cell available here, but recently, the placements have not been very good.
- Some teachers are not good at teaching and problem here to to find a rrsouce to study the topic
- Fees is very high here which is the worst part here .

Campus placement is abput 65 percent and average placement is about 11 to 12 lpa for coe students ..here once u got a placement in your preferred company u cant apply for others .So this is the con here.

- The exposure you get here is great, you can meet people from all over India.
- Saturanalia, the annual fest is held on a big level.

- There was less interaction among faculties and students.
- SRS was not taken seriously, then what's the point to get it filled.
- Classes are difficult to locate and initial communication is tough.
Course Curriculum Overview:
250 students class is taken by one teacher. Faculties are from top universities like IIT, BITS, NIT, or universities from abroad. There are sessionals, MSTs, ESTs which are held time to time to evaluate students.

- Fees is too much high. It costs nearly 25-30 lakhs for getting a BE/BTech degree from this college.
Placement Experience:
Placements are decent. Students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. About 400 companies visit the campus. Highest package is 55 lakhs and average is nearly 13 lakhs. More than 90% students get placement. I plan to earn a decent placement in a top company.

- Communication is slow and inefficient messages are given at last moment

Faculty of the institution is very good. Most faculty members are highly educated and qualified with a strong base in reserach. The student to faculty ratio is also good there are enough faculties to teach a batch of about 50 students. The exams although taken timely feel a bit rushed and the confirmation of syllabus comes at the last minute.

- Campus life is very good as you have 250 acre huge campus to walk around everyday with your friends
- Campus is situated in mid of city so there is a plenty pf space to roam around and do cafe hopping and shopping
- There are too many cafes and food point around every corner. There are various shops for everything like sports, tech items, general stores

- Worst thing is heavy fees. Not everyone can afford it. Lifestyle of people is also on the higher side here
- If you work in societies. Thapar management will make you suffer a lot. It is really difficult to work under them sometimes
- Profs are okayish. Like any other engineering college you had to study from notes or youtube at last
Course Curriculum Overview:
My branch is electronic and computer. Placement of this branch is very good as both tech and non tech companies allows it. Branches are devided into groups. For lectures every 120-140 student there is a professor. For labs the the size is 20-25. Most of the profs are supporting. But its a engineering clg, they teach average only if you compares it with your school or coachings, many will just read out slides or give you pdf materials. Exams are just okayishly hard. You have practical quize endsem and midsems.

- Everything is wonderful in thapar University..college fest ..are amazing
- The infrastructure of this university is wonderful I love the environment and the library is my favourite
- The college also provides sports facilities and students are very happy to be here

- Exams are the things which are often not prefered by students
- Teachers are sometimes not so supportive
- There are lot of dogs roaming in the university which is annoying

The course faculty are super supportive and very kind and caring ..this curriculum was my dream which I wanted to pursue and thapar University helped me pursue and chase my dreams ..This university gave wings to my dreams ..the faculty is very supportive really very encouraging.. Thapar University has a brand name, however, the ground reality for this university is not very pleasant and it is swiftly losing the qualities that defined it in its glorious past. The rankings of students enrolled in the university are going down each year. The administration is taking serious measures against the same, however, because of these measures the other students are suffering. One example is the strict entry and exit timings.
Academically, your experience in this institution will differ according to your branch. The CSE branch has a cooperative faculty and lenient attendance criteria. This is not the case for other branches. In other branches, some faculty members may hold personal grudges against you while some may fail you for missing the required attendance mark (75%) by as small as 0.1%. The mess is below average and the classrooms are not very impressive. The administration is very slow.
However, there are positive points about Thapar University as well. The alumni from Thapar are placed in some of the best companies in India and abroad. It has some of the best synthetic courts in any engineering college in India. There are many teachers at Thapar University who serve as a source of inspiration to their students. Sports facilities for all the major sports are great. Placements at Thapar University are great and the labs are well updated. Even though Thapar is facing a drug problem, its teachers and administration are very active in trying to solve this issue.
Thus, even though Thapar University has outlived its glorious days, it has some positive points too. It is completely your choice whether or not you wish to take admission into it.

Thapar University offers a good MCA program. The institute has a brilliant MCA faculty base. It offers good learning resources, and laboratory facilities to meet the requirement of students.
Thapar University placement highlights show the average CTC offered to MCA students is around INR 7 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is around INR 8 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and Fidelity are among the major recruiters in the placement drive.
