You will be surprised to know that many times students with 150+ JEE Mains end up with a CGPA of less than 6 while students with less than 100 JEE Score are in the top 5 percent. Judging the students based on a number of criteria here is my opinion Thapar University has a better student crowd than most engineering colleges. Ragging is not tolerated here and there is a very good harmony between seniors and juniors The students here aren’t much involved in alcohol unlike most engineering colleges these days. There is a strong bond between the peers and the students are like a close-knit community. In reality, it’s the ambiance and culture of the campus that determines the quality of the crowd it attracts. For instance, a top ranker may come to a bad college and lose all his motivation while a low ranker might come to a college with a healthy academic environment and might get motivated for the better. So, I don’t believe that the student quality at Thapar University is any less than other engineering colleges.
