Fees and Financial Aid:

You should consider an overall budget of around 30-35 Lacs if you are enrolling into Thapar university (without scholarship) Though the Institute has some good schemes providing scholarship for all year students. The first year students are awarded scholarship based on their boards percentage and then sorting them on basis of JEE ranks. First year onwards a CGPA of 9.2+ should assure you a scholarship.

The fee structure for CSBS program at Thapar institute has been increasing annually with a hike of 5-8% each year.For 2022 batch , the total fee was approximately 13lakhs this included everything Tution fee , development fee , admission fees etc , regarding scholarships yes , tiet offers merit cum based , category based fee waivers

Yeah so the fee structure is a bit too overwhelming , they charge 250000 per semester and also hostel fees 75000 so its like 30 lakhs for the whole degree , there are scholarships as wrll but very less

Thapar University

It is an expensive college. Fee is on the higher end.

Currently, the Tuition fee is Rs 238600-/ per semester and it increases by some percent every year. The complete cost is 30Lacks including the hostel and mess fee. Thapar has some scholarships too. For every scholarship, there is a minimum cap of CGPA. The top 50 students get 100% scholarships. Next 240 students get a 50% scholarship.

My experience at thapar University.

Fees is one of the factors you might have second thoughts about, because it's quite high it will cost around 25 lakhs for four years including hostels. But scholarships are available from the 2nd year related to your CGPA. Otherwise there is always the option of education loan. But here you have to study hard to get marks because its difficult to get good CG. I don't really remember the names of scholarships they are available on website, you can cheak. As we all know last year there was a huge placement drop in every college so obviously here too, but stats from previous years were quite good. Avg was 12-13 lakhs and highest is 50 lakhs.

Good and bad side of Thapar University

Total fee for 4 years is approx 20-24 lacs including the hostel charges which is quite expensive Fee is payable each sem - 2,68,000/- After each year their is a increase in fee by 23,000/- By each year here i mean sem1 sem2 same fee, sem3 sem4 increased fee by 23,000 once, sem 5 sem6 again. That means fee increases by students passing year 1st year 2nd year 3rd year like wise

The fee structure is a little expansive. The fees per semester including hostel, mess and tuition fees is 3 lacs approx. The top students get scholarships at the end of first year. Honestly it is a bit expensive only come here if your parents can really afford it
