Thapar University offers admission to UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in the streams of Engineering, Management, Science, and Liberal Arts. Its most popular program is BE / BTech, followed by MCA. Admission to the BE and BTech programs is conducted through the counselling of JEE Main. The university also admits students based on 10+2 marks or TIET Entrance to these programs. I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. The addimission was on the basis of JEE result and for COE branch the cutoff was approx 83 with punjab state quota. There is no exam for it just an form to be filled.

i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here.

Can I get admission in Thapar University without the JEE Mains?

As an Indian citizen, you cannot take admission in Thapar University without giving JEE Mains. However, if you are a foreign or NRI student, the admission criteria are separate and do not involve JEE Mains. For foreign or NRI students, the admission process is comparatively easier than for Indian students, so there is no need to worry about the criteria.

Thapar University has a separate admission process for foreign and NRI students, which involves fulfilling certain eligibility criteria, such as passing the qualifying exam with the required percentage of marks, and having a valid score in SAT or any equivalent examination. Moreover, if English is not your first language, you will need to provide proof of English proficiency through exams like IELTS or TOEFL.

Once you fulfill the eligibility criteria, you can apply for admission by submitting the application form online and paying the application fee. After the application process is complete, the university will release a merit list based on the eligibility criteria and your academic achievements. You will be notified if you are selected for admission, and further instructions will be given on how to complete the admission process.

Yes, you can get direct admission to Thapar University for a BTech. Students need to have a minimum of 80% on Boards and also have to appear for JEE Main.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Admissions to B.Tech and BE-MBA integrated programs are done on the basis of class 12th Board scores with a minimum 80% aggregate. Every course requires a minimum eligibility.

While the duration of B.Tech courses is our years, these integrated courses are of 5 years duration. The eligibility, however, is the same as cleared in science background with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Additionally, you should have appeared for national-level entrance exams.

Does Thapar University conduct entrance test for the BA courses?

This university provides admission to the BA course under Thapar School of Liberal Arts & Sciences. As per the rules, there will be the official entrance for the admission but the admission depends on the Online test that includes an Aptitude Test Letter of Statement of Purpose/ Motivation, and grade 10 marks card.
