A genuine review of LPU university specially for agriculture students

Likes

There is very much diverse culture here at LPU , people from all over India came here to study
As this is a private university , if I'm unable to understand or most of my classmates can't understand what a professor teaching
There is many another opportunity at campus , if one's good at study there is many programs or department to help him to reach to it's goal

Dislikes

The mandatory attendance system here is bit too hectic for students as they need to attend 9-5 classes regularly
The distance I need to travel daily to reach agriculture block , there is only one gate here the main front gate for entrance and exit
The strict rules or the UMC thing, if you been caught eating non- veg in campus there's UMC for it

Students are eligible to sit in placements after 7th semester , there's interview based skill classes from 1st semester , for agriculture students companies like itc agro , dhanuka , corteva visit for in campus placements . Average package for agri students is 5-6 lakhs , nearly 75-80% students get placement offers . I'm planning to do buisness after my graduation or takeover my family buisness .

Life change by the way we make mistakes

Likes

I liked the most is the the teaching style the teach in a gaming mood.
I love the coordination with seniors and higher faculty are so good
Environment with friends and the teaching faculty

Dislikes

Some rule are very strict and very one should follow them
Every level 5 to 6 days will be class and it form 9 am to 5 pm or 3 pm

Placement Experience:

Placement are very well given to the students starting from 5 semester so called in 3 year either in starting or in ending of 6 semester . So many companies visit and offers for students,higest package for my course is around 21lak CTC per year and minimum package is 3 lak per year and average is 5 lak per year ,every year around 70 to 83 percent students selects in placement , my plans after graduation to start a business in bioinfesectidies and bio fertilizer to do natural and organic farming to improve the agriculture land

Lpu agriculture

Likes

Management and teachers were so great there.
There is a programme in 4th year which is elp and rawe.
No drinks and drugs are allowed in University

Dislikes

Hostel food is not that much good and not even according to the menu
Hostels are so strict to love in specially for girls
Nonveg is not allowed in University u can eat from outside

Placement Experience:

Placement is quite good many of the students placed with package of 6 lakh to 8 lakh many get into their dream companies like itc. There is vast opportunity that you can grab . I have planned for enterpreneurship

A small review of LPU

Likes

I likes the teaching experience of the teachers as they have thourough knowledge of the subject
The practical periods are actually showing the practical work
There is cleanliness in the campus as no individual can not litter this beautiful campus

Placement Experience:

From 7th semmmester students are eligible for the placement Many companies visited and there were many tie ups with the govt institutions from India and abroad Highest package is 25 lakh Almost all the students got package there

LPU- Know the truth

Likes

Provides all the facilities required for academics including infrastructure and other facilities required in particular fields.
Experienced and friendly teachers who are ready to help at any situation and at any point.
Provides a very friendly environment inside campus with high security, ragging free and can make friends from all over the world.

Dislikes

The only thing I disliked is that we need to submit the fee at a time and they don't allow emi benefits.

Placement Experience:

The placement in agriculture are not that good. After completing B.Sc. we basically get marketing and sales job. Which many of students don't like to do. So I won't prefer LPU for the one who needs placement just after the B.Sc.. Most of the students prefer going for higher studies. Once we are done with a this particular program we can apply in different government jobs and also most of the students go for entrepreneurship which is a burning topic in today's time and as we know agriculture industry is the one which never gives you loss.

Reality from a student

Likes

I liked the teaching styles of faculties
I liked the infrastructural facilities and canteens
I liked the diversity of population there

Dislikes

Marking scheme for semester exam little bit tricky
Power in university is centralised at vc office
Its too costly outside everything and inside also

4 years of LPU and this is my Experience

LPU has a lot of diversity, people from different states and countries came together to study giving us a vast spectrum.
LPU has good tie ups with international universities and they provide you all the information you need to know. They also hold college fairs where you can interact with representatives of different universities around the world.
The labs are well equipped and top notch. They provide the best lab conditions and no one is neglected furing practical classes. Praticals are treated with great importance

Dislikes

Food is something that I'm not much fond of there. They taste bald and you eventually stop eating in the canteens and order from the other kiosk inside campus
Theres a lot of strictness regarding girls. The entry time is way sooner, which sometimes cause difficulties for us whose blocks are at the end of the university.
No senior junior interaction actually occurs. Not much of a fresher takes place here, well atleast I didn't get any (that might be because of covid 19 as well)

Placement Experience:

Placements are very nice with good package with minimum package starting with 2-3 lakh annually. Theres placement cell for guidance at every department and placement classes take place on weekends, starting from 3rd year. These classes prepare you for every entrance exams and interview questions giving basic knowledge related to science, maths and english.

LPU UNIVERSITY BSC AGRICULTURE REVIEW

It would have been better if the daily outpass system and admission block of the college were improved a little .
The environment of the campus is great and there is no problem of any kind inside the campus .
The class rooms are very good and the teachers are very friendly and the management is also very good .

Dislikes

There is some problem in placement, low package is given and there is not much scope in agriculture .
There is no permission to roam around inside the campus for 24 hours, which is a bit of a problem. The hostels are also open for a fixed time, after which all visitors are prohibited.
The classrooms need some improvement and there are no digital classrooms.

Placement Experience:

° Become eligible for placement in the last semester of the course . ° placement company - Avanta limited - National agro industries - Rasi seeds - HDFC - Amazon - Flipkart - Apollo hospital management - Mahindra ° over all semester students 10% students apply for placement.

the culture of college is well good serious of classes

Dislikes

quality teachers are not operated like just new phd comes to teach
hectic shedule of classes and exam cause mental pressure
mess food is not soo good there it depends for my case i dont like that food

Is LPU that Lovely?

Likes

Faculties are great almost everyone has a phd and multiple research paper to their ne
Student-teacher interaction is encouraged a lot.
No ragging in the campus due strict rules and regulations

Dislikes

Non-veg edible items are not allowed inside the campus
Unnecessary rules to harass hostellers like limited leaves provided to get outside the campus
Since ragging is strongly discouraged as a result there is gap between senior and juniors which makes it difficult to interact with our seniors for resolving any issues

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placements from their final year and should have passed all the subjects. Companies visited are ITC, Adani Wilmar, dhanuka, some startups Highest package offered for the current session was 8lpa to 4 students where the average pay is 3.6 lpa Due to low pay most of the students turn down the job offer and goes on pursuing higher studies. So far, from what I have experienced is that there is cut throat competition in the placements.

What is your review of Lovely Professional University?

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

Can I get an honest review on LPU University placements in engineering?

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:

Students get success in placements based on their learning and skills provided by the University. The University trains the students to grab high-quality job offers.
LPU receives numerous companies for placements, although only a fraction of students secure high-paying offers, partly due to the large student population.
LPU's campus can accommodate its many students, with classes divided into manageable sizes for effective teaching.
