What Students Say
Likes
- There is very much diverse culture here at LPU , people from all over India came here to study
- As this is a private university , if I'm unable to understand or most of my classmates can't understand what a professor teaching
- There is many another opportunity at campus , if one's good at study there is many programs or department to help him to reach to it's goal
Dislikes
- The mandatory attendance system here is bit too hectic for students as they need to attend 9-5 classes regularly
- The distance I need to travel daily to reach agriculture block , there is only one gate here the main front gate for entrance and exit
- The strict rules or the UMC thing, if you been caught eating non- veg in campus there's UMC for it
Course Curriculum Overview
I love to know more about agriculture and want to do something in this field . But if someone ask me to describe about bsc. Agriculture curriculum here at lpu, it's good as the units that have been teaching at govt. colleges the same pattern is also followed here at lpu. There have been communication skill development classes from day one to enhance our speaking skills, from 5 semester there's been soft skills enhancement classes .
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship opportunities have been provided here at lpu , but for 1st year students it's not so easy or possible to get an internship , but you can enroll for edu-revolution , in it there is a program revenue generation where you can generate your income by selling your growings .
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to sit in placements after 7th semester , there's interview based skill classes from 1st semester , for agriculture students companies like itc agro , dhanuka , corteva visit for in campus placements . Average package for agri students is 5-6 lakhs , nearly 75-80% students get placement offers . I'm planning to do buisness after my graduation or takeover my family buisness .
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fees is 120000 for bsc. Hons agriculture at lpu. So there is 2 semester in a year , so the total fees is 240000 for a year but there are many scholarship programs for students. First of all there is an entrance test called LPUNEST , there are 4 category scholarships are being provided through this exam , category A,B,C and D , you can check the scholarship awarded amount of LPU official site , I've got 30% scholarship through LPUNEST .
Campus Life
Usually there're all types of subject related books available at library , there are 2 libraries in each department , and one central library for all campus students. In classroom there's a projecter , white board and in few classes there's an window AC . There are many clubs and sports related activities happening at lpu , there are literally every sports ground or equipment the student is been playing . There's always 1-2 event going on since I join lpu like freshers fiesta , sunburn car show etc.
Admission
I applied for bsc statistics at Delhi Universities , and I got PGDAV college ( south campus ) . But I want to do something in agriculture field , therefore I applied here for bsc agriculture at lpu , if I get bsc statistics at North campus colleges of Delhi University I'll surely go for them but as I don't get enough marks in cuet to clear cutoff of those colleges. You need to get aggregate marks of 60% in your subjects , you need to give LPUNEST exam and clear it's cutoff to get qualified for it .
Faculty
Whenever you join there's a mentor being assigned to you he/she is a faculty member of your department , so you can book appointment with him whenever you want, and this process is very easy you can book through LPU Touch or ums system, he/ she will surely confirm your appointment in 8-10 hours. There's is 70 students in a section and there are 7 sections in B.Sc. Agriculture at lpu , so faculty ratio is nearly 1:30 .
Night Life
Gym is overcrowded , cafeterias are literally expensive or near to unaffordable, there are strict rules and punishment for students if they caught doing kissing or anything , day scholors are not allowed in campus after 7 pm . locality is not that safe outside campus as there is near to zero crowd after 9 pm outside campus because no day scholors are allowed .
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Statistics)
The course which I been looking for is not there in du , and I didn't able to get North campus college as my cuet score is not that much
