Life at Lovely Professional University

Likes

Mall facility within the campus with grocery stores and sweet shops, etc
Hospital with medical shop facility is also provided
E-rikshaw services within the campus is provided which is very reliable.

Dislikes

Campus is too big to walk all around it the whole day
Hospital usually does not have the necessary facilities
Course is mostly focused towards theory whereas it should be more practical knowledge about agriculture

After the 8th semester students that opted for placements can only sir in placements Many companies visit like John deere and other international brands visit and place bright students. Highest from our college collectively was 3Cr annually. And average from my course is 5lakhs per annum after bachelors. Students who get placed are usually very bright having CGPA over 8 My plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies persuing ABM.

LPU is best .

Likes

Each and every Facility provided is very nice
New technologies are used in very effective manner

Dislikes

Fee is very much high everyone can't afford .
Number of students is very large some teacher don't give attention to everyone

Placement Experience:

We have a very well placement .. average package is 4.5 lakh . We have separate placement classes where professors teaches students how to perform in real placement we have mock interviews , group discussions in our placement classes

Evergreen campus with AC classroom and their facilities are good.
Facilities have good experience in their department
The main things are students from different parts of the country and from other countries also that gives diverse exposure that's why LPU is known as University of Diversity

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. ITC, Adani Wilmar, Sygenta, IDBI Bank, planet spark, katyayani organics are the some companies visited and approx 60 percent student got placed.

Bachelors Review of Agriculture Student in Lovely Professional University

Likes

I liked the diverse culture of Campus because there are students from every state of India and also International students are also there due to which I have knowledge about different diverse cultures
There are lots of facilities in campus like Univeristy Have its own Mall and Also Different and Good Quality of food is available
The campus is very secure for girls and boys both the rules and regulations are strict and followed by every student

Dislikes

The Behavoiur of staff is not good and they are not much professional and generous Once you enter this university there is no Vo operation of Faculty with Teachers at any level
The Management of university is not capable of solving students issues if there is any loophole of university they will try to cover it not to resolve it
For Agriculture students there no cultural activities and no proper equipment’s and safety is provided in farms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of University ICAR accredation. The overall course curriculum is average there is theoretical knowledge but faculty is not interested in providing practical knowledge about Course . There two exam for one semester One is Mid term and Second is Endterms and there not enough preparation holidays are provided due to which students face a lot of stress in Exams

My Experience in LPU till 2nd year

Likes

The best thing I liked is the environment over there and the friendly behaviour of everyone
The friendly behaviour of the faculty and the co operation
The food we will be getting over there is also very good over the cafes

Dislikes

We are having 9 to 5 classes for 5 days in a week
As a agriculture student we are having so much hetic work all over the field in this summers
The mess food all over the hostels is not that bad but also not that good it’s ok ok

If I would say all over everything is alright it's good rather than if I talked about the subject there are too many subjects legit too many and they give us assignments like there is only one subjects and that's there's and they made us do so much hard work of 5 marks

The faculties are good and encouraging . Their expertise helps students in many ways .
The campus is real deal, there are plethora of greenery and good vibe .
The placements are good , many of my seniors have been placed from LPU to some big MNC.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I was always fond of science and Agriculture in specific. Agriculture includes everything in it , i.e , fundamentals of plant biotechnology and biochem, agronomy , about soil , agricultural economic, etc . All of these subjects makes BSc. Agriculture (Hons) more enjoyable and knowledgeable for me .

there is nothing to dislike overall it is good but one thing I can say that the fees structure is high as compare to other private university.

Extra curricular activities like dancing, singing, racing etc
Practicals way of teaching by the teachers
Sports are so much encouraged in the campus

Dislikes

Non vegetarian is not allowed inside the college
The college is so big that we get pain walking that distance

Pros and cons before entering lpu

Likes

The campus is very beautiful and also very big. We have many things to explore and also many facilities are available. We can get anything at any time, and this is the best aspect. We don't have to bother much about daily needs and food corners as e.
There is a supermarket in every hostel so that students don't waste their time in geeting their daily needs. Also because of this we save a lot of time and get time to focus on our studies and bring out the best outputs for ourselves,
There is a lot of competition on the university this makes our competative sport high and makes us work hard to shine out of all the students. Because of the competition we are forced to become best in order to shine out of evryone and get a chance.

Dislikes

The competition is a good aspect but a bad aspect as well, sometimes the weak students cannot take the competition upto the mark and hence find themselves in trouble and depressed. This according to me is a drawback that the university has .
There are a lot of events that sometimes students feel distracted out of their studies because of these activities. They feel a peer pressure to participate in all but feel they cannot cope up with their studies with all these events going on the sid
The university is very nice and provides all the facilities according to the money they charge but I feel in some courses the fees structure is a bit high for the normal middle class to afford and hence many students don't get the opportunity to come

Placement Experience:

There are a lot of placement opportunities that are available in the college. Students are eligible for the placement from the last semester that is the 8th semester. The companies that come are one of the top companies like Sygenta, Bayer, and many more. The highest package is around 20lacs and the average package is around 5lakhs. Almost all the students who appear for placements get one. I plan to get a good placement in some top company and get a luring package after my graduation.

I completed BTech CSE from LPU back in 2016. You might say that LPU has changed since then, but I am still in touch with my juniors and here is my experience:

Placements: More than 550+ MNCs and startups visit the LPU campus for placement. In recent news, Yasir M., student of LPU, grabbed an offer of INR 3 crore in Germany. The highest CTC offered for the engineering programs at LPU is INR 42 LPA.
Scholarships: People might think LPU is pricey since it is a private colleges, but LPU provides scholarships to bright students with good academic records, good track record in sports, or extracurricular activities. LPU also helps students in the education loan facility.
Research: In terms of research, Stanford University has ranked almost 13 LPU faculty members amongst the top 2% of scientists in the world.
Faculty: The faculty members are from top institutes like IITs, NITs, IIMs, and top-ranked universities globally.

Can I get an honest review on LPU University placements in engineering?

I am a BTech Mechanical graduate from LPU. Here is an honest review on the placement scenario at LPU (in engineering)-

The placement scenario is poor for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical. Few companies visit these departments for placements, and hire a maximum of 5-10 students in total. But if someone knows basic coding, they can sit for IT placements.

Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, etc. visit the CSE/IT departments for mass hiring. Very few core companies visit the ECE department for recruitments, so the students rely on IT companies. A mere 40/50 out of 1000 ECE students get hired by an Electronics company from the campus. The IT companies mass hire students at a CTC of around 3.5 LPA.

This is the engineering placement scenario at LPU.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:
