How many teaching weeks are there in the BPUT B.Tech course?

The number of teaching weeks in each semester of the B.Tech course offered at Biju Patnaik University shall be fifteen to eighteen with a minimum of 90 teaching days excluding the period of examination.

What is the maximum duration of completing BPUT UG courses?

A student who is weak in studies can complete a 4-year UG program of BPUT in not more than 7 years, a 3 year UG program not exceeding 5 years, while the 5 year UG program, not more than 8 years.

Is there any seat reservation at BPUT for physically handicapped students?

Yes, some of the seats at BPUT are reserved for physically handicapped students, however, they are required to satisfy the prescribed medical fitness norms.

Can a B.Tech student at BPUT change his/her branch?

Yes, any student pursuing B.Tech at BPUT may be allowed a change in their branch after they have completed the course requirements for the first and second semesters. The change in a branch will be done subject to the availability of seats in a program. The selection shall be based on merit through candidates combined results in the first two semesters.

How can a student check the BPUT Result?

Students who have appeared for the BPUT Exam for both UG and PG courses can check their BPUT Result on the notice section available on the official website of the varsity. Students are required to visit the official website at bput.ac.in. Then, they need to select the examination tab and click on the BPUT exam result. A detailed summary of the students result will be displayed on the screen.

How a student is evaluated at BPUT?

Students at BPUT are required to maintain the required credit points for each semester as per the rules formulated by AICTE. Each discipline at Biju Patnaik University consists of 4 things: Theory, Practical, Sessional, and Project work. A student is evaluated based on the above-mentioned 4 criteria.

I don't like many things in college. Such worse environment in our college. Always people try to quarrel in with us.
Food of the canteen is very bad also not a single shop is in the 125acres of campus

the first thing that i must like about this college is the environment
the another thing of this college that is good that its events and its curricular activities.
the other thing we must going to like that the faculties i admit that they are very good.

first thing that im going to dislike is that the hostel foods its so much bad . and the qualities are also so much bad
another thing is that the seniors problem.
overall there is not so much bad things in the college this is like every college things.

from 7th semestar the students become eligable for campus placements. there are ,any companies that they visite our college for placements they are - TCS,TECHMAHINDRA ETC. my plans after getting the degree is simply found a job and suppot to my dad.

Cricket stadium is very big and domestic matches are conducted.
There are so many grounds are available for the outdoor and indoor gaming and sports
24*7 wifi connectivity is available for the students.

Dislikes

Some times power cuts are happening here due to no reasons.
The food quality of the hostel canteen is not so satisfactory.
There is no transportation system available for the hostel students.

first thing I like is placement opportunities for mining branch. it is pretty good incompare to others.
festivals and other curricular activities they are also very good.
we got a Wi-Fi in our hostels room . network connection is slow but its managble.

Dislikes

first thing i disliked is the hostel food the qualities of this foods are so much bad . according to fees we paid for this.
then the senior things that are happened in evry government college it is really bad here
there are nothing more to hate about this college other things are normal like other colleges

from 7th sem students are elligible for this. companies visited- jsw,imfa,kccl,nalco,vedant,adani etc. highetest are 16LPA 7.5 CGPA students gets placed . i want to do MTech after getting degree as i want to study in a IIT in my near future that's why i want to do this

Campus is really great nice. Nice architect. Classroom have great facilities with smartboards and projectile systems. We have really good laboratories with all the equipment requirements in the various cources .
The place were our college is really beautiful and haves mountain visible from our college. The weather is very nice and a little bit cold .
The cource in which i have enrolled is very good as a carrier option and it prvide good jobs opportunities and the skill we learn here are very much use full in the real world

Dislikes

The area where our campus is located is a remote place very far from the main city . We have to travel very far to reach the market place .
There are more guest faculties than regular faculties in our college with result the change to faculties and its very difficult to cope ip with regular faculties.
There is no book store in our college. So student have to go outside the campus to get study material.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester student are eligible for campus placement. Various campus have visited this year like TATA power, NALCO ,VEDANTA etc and have placed a total of 32 students.The highest package was offered a annual package of 16 lakhs and average package is 4lakhs annual.40 to 50 percentage of students are get placed every year . My plans after getting this degree is to opt for civil services and appear for upsc.

The college is situated at a hill top which give peace to the students.
The teachers help a lot to students in their study time and also take doubt solving class.
The placement of this college is very good .

Dislikes

There are no Book stores situated inside the college.
This college recruit a large number of guest faculty in stead of permanent faculty.
The infrastructure of this college is no so good.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placement. There are numbers of companies visited to the college such as Tata, vedanta ,Adani ,Imfa ,Jspl, Jenus etc through which 100 students are got placed. Highest package offered by vedanta is 1600000 and average package is 350000. 40-50 % of final year students got placed every year. After getting the degree I want to do M tech in mining engineering.
