CAU Imphal the truth

Likes

It has a wide enough campus so we get a lot of walking space

Dislikes

Very restrictive about going out of campus
Hostel is compulsory which doesn't make any sense
We awe treated like school students with restrictions on dating going out etc

The curriculum is good it can prepare us to do government examinations state and central level and secure jobs easily we also have a lot of practicals in the college which helps us gain experience in real life

Likes

Many opportunities are given to tue students
The overall environment is really appreciable.
Many interesting activities are organised by the SWO for our learning.

Dislikes

In the mid winter we face water scarcity in the hostel.
The network is really bad inside the campus.
There are no enough classroom in the FND department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Before i was not aware of this course called community science but, after learning a tit bit of it ,i get to know that there are many things that i can get to explore and gain knowledge in different aspects.

Likes

It's a central university and it's fee structure very less
Academic is very good and teaching staffs are also always regular
We got hostel facilities with very less hostel fees

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not so good as well there is no playground and gym and all
Hostel buildings are not permanent and it's temporary
Overall development are poor because the college is very new that's why

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement...my plans after getting degree from course is to appear state civil services exam.. and to to become administrative officer in my own state

People from different states come together to study showing diversity , I got to learn so many new things here.
The faculty here is supportive and the infrastructure is quite good
The course curriculum is nicely balanced to help the students not only in theoretical aspects but teach them the practical values too.

Dislikes

The college needs to focus more on its students and their growth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is a bit hectic in 4th year for forestry , while for horticulture and agriculture , the first year is a bit hectic because of fifth Dean committee. But don't worry , the sixth Dean committee might be thoda flexible later on. Exams are mid level , and they are conducted once every 4 months , during 4th year , Agri and Horticulture doesn't hve any exams since they have RAWE and all , but for forestry , last sem we hve exams plus dissertation.

Environment is the main thing located at corner of Meghalaya people's of Meghalaya are friendly also
Cooperative teacher's, classmates especially

Network when there's heavy rain no network, strong wind no network
Insufficient materials in many things but we're still developing

?actually my parents really like agriculture ?in this course we have different subject to studies. ?The teacher are well trained.Mostly are asst.prof. but so many of them is also professor ?In exam there will be twice in semester mid term and end term .Mid term question is set by the college teacher .And end term is by the external teacher

The internship programme

Likes

All the Professors and seniors are very helpful.
Lots of farm activities can be done and are available to all the students
Gives opportunities to show ones other sides also regardless of studying.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very small and not properly maintained
Lack of Laboratory practices which as a result leads to lack of knowdelge
Lack of proper practicals and handling availabilities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well there is no such aspect that certainly influencede to choose this course..its like I want to be a VIA though which animals can express themselves. Its like I want to attach myself emotionally with those voiceless animals, understand them and cure them,that's it...This gives us a wide range of facilities to interact with differt type of animals and understand them...The teaching methods here are also very good and practical knowledge can be gained properly.

Likes

Campus Location is good. And campus is beautiful.
Faculty is quite good.
Students comes from all over India so good combination of different culture

Dislikes

Classes are not regular and they collect very less pratical classes
Library timing is quite bad or open for few hours.
Clg function is too slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I am interested in agriculture and here the faculty-student ratio is quite good, faculty is good. In one sem mid-term, end-term, 2 quizzes, and practical exams are there. It is not so tough.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course which I found is agricultural engineering. Its criteria for admission is 12th Math. The entrance is held by ICAR & JEE. The college seats are 70. There will be 10 seats for ICAR, 20 seats for JEE and the State government hold total seats.

Placement Experience:

Students from the 6th semester onwards becomes eligible for placement jobs after the 6th semester there are some placement trips that are offered to the students like village placement trips and industrial placement trips in which they get the opportunity to get the job of around 480000 to 1200000 salary packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I like science studies MSc and Ph.D. in agriculture allied sectors. It was difficult to engage in the new course but the lectures are good so zi felt quite good and easy to understand the course and the exam pattern.
