About Nagaland University
Nagaland University offers several undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes in different fields. Arts, Science, Commerce, Agricultural Sciences, Engineering & Technology and Management streams are some of the programmes offered by the University.
The University was founded in 1994 as the Central University Educational institute and has 3 permanent and 1 temporary campus with Lumami, Zunheboto as its Headquarter. There are a total of 41 departments out of which 13 departments and 4 centres are located in Lumami, Zunheboto, 11 departments and 2 centres at Meriema campus, 12 departments at Medziphema campus and 5 departments at the temporary campus in Dimapur. The overall ranking of Nagaland University is 151 as declared by NIRF 2020 and it has also bagged approval from the UGC. Currently, Nagaland University affiliates 65 colleges from all across the state of Nagaland.
Candidates interested in getting enrolled on any of the courses offered in Nagaland University can visit the online portal of the university and apply for the same. Admission to any of the courses is based on merit or entrance exam scores.
For All UG level programmes a minimum qualification of 10+2 level exam in the relevant stream from a recognized Board or equivalent is required. For PG and PG Diploma courses a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant discipline is a must and for Doctorate level courses, Master’s Degree from a recognized University is essential. The minimum marks criteria while applying for any programme will depend on the choice of course.

Nagaland University Admission

Nagaland University Facilities
- Hostel: The Nagaland University provides 4 boys hostels (1 for Research scholars and 3 for PG students) and 5 girls hostels (1 for Research scholars and 4 for PG students). The hostels are fully furnished and have a good internet connection. Students are served meals twice a day. For the engagement of student boarders, the hostel authorities have provided table tennis, carrom, TV, etc.
- Library: Nagaland University has three permanent campuses. The departments covered by the different libraries are Departments under Lumami Campus Library, Departments under Medziphema Campus Library, Departments under Kohima Campus Library.
- Sports: Different sports equipment are provided to the students. The college has indoor and outdoor sports tools. Indoor games like carrom, table tennis, and chess are available in the hostel. The college has well-furnished football and cricket fields. It also has a handball, hockey field, and volleyball and badminton court.
- Food Court: A full-fledged cafeteria is operating within the campus for the benefit of the staff and students. It provides fresh and good quality food that caters to the tastes of each individual.
- Clinical Facility: The Nagaland University campus provides a Healthcare Centre to take care of the medical needs of the students and staff. Several medical professionals are available at the campus. Additionally, the Centre organizes wellness awareness plans for the students and staff. The centre also runs a fitness club, which is operated by trained fitness professionals.

- The faculties,they are all qualified and very experienced.

- The classrooms, some rooms are small and it is quite hard to adjust all students in a room.

Admission:
I chose this college because of its reputation. The faculties here are very qualified. Entrance exams are conducted to select students to be admitted, and I personally think that this is a very good process . Moreover this college is very affordable as compared to other colleges.

- Classroom, because we take our class in the new block which is quite clean.

- Union fund raise eg selling coupons,calendar etc
- College mates because it becomes really hard to communicate with all

Because it was my fldream atudying in dimapur government college as it is one of the known college in Nagaland and i consider that dimapur government college have the best faculties and proper infrastructure.

- I like the environment and the people are so kind
- And I enjoy the activities and curriculum

- I don't the canteen and like every Saturday doing social work
- facilities and the structure of the classroom are a bit

I choose this college because i heard a lot about this college and is among the top 150 colleges over all india. The admission process was quite easy. We just had to fill up a form and bring all the necessary documents required

I apply for tis colleges since i have heard alot of good deeds about this college and it is one of the oldest college from nagaland which excellent academics performance over the past years and the admisson process was also quite eary

- It has seperate bathroom for girls and boys
- The college surrounding is always clean and hygienic
Dislikes
- It has only two canteen inside the campus , which is not convenient enough
- It has only one Library which is not convenient enough

I didn't apply for any other college St. Joseph was my first option , it was my dream college, i love St. Joseph because of the creative activity it ensures. The faculties ofcourse are the best I didn't get any rejection from other college because I didn't apply for it The admission process of my college are , Have a good percentage from the class 10 and 12 ( 60 % and above) and catholic students are preferred because it is a Catholic college The overall admission experience was fine and accurate comparing to other colleges admission process

- There are many activities that the university organise

- As the university has changed its location this year, there is a problem in the infrastructure

I choosed this college due to the following reasons. 1. It is affordable. 2. It is a central university (government). 3. I heard from my friends about the college. 4. The course which I was instrested, i got it.
Likes
- The things that I like the most about our college is that we have a function that is known as unifest! Students enjoy that fest a little too much!
- I also like the canteen chow. It doesn't really taste good but when you're hungry I can eat 2-3 plates
Dislikes
- The thing I dislike about the college is the canteen. It is very congested and sometimes we don't even get to eat
- I also dislike the college rules of not able to get in after 9:15
Admission:
I chose this college because of the college uniform and also the surrounding of the college! The other reason for choosing this college is because the college that I wanted to join was far away and too expensive. I actually didn't apply for any other college. I just wanted to go but didn't buy any form or applied. the process of addmission is first come first. We buy the form for 500 rs and after filling the form we take admission and before taking admission we meet some professors and the principal of the college. The exams most preferred by the students are the mid terms, end semester exams and also the upsc exams the minimum cutoff should be 40% of 100%. The overall admission experience was good

- I like the things here in tetso college is the infrastructures
- The college provides many great opportunities for the students

- The things I don't like about this college is quite impressive because the chickpea so called (channa wala) they allowed them to enter in the college campus and sells their products
- So many extra-curricular activities also initiated which seems to be avoided

I chose this college because there's a lot of opportunities for active students like me and takes part in extracurricular activities prior to that i wanted to join the NCC national cadet corps I also applied at ICFAI University but later on I took back my forms because there was no NCC club the admission process is very easy they guide us and provided us an required documents in their official college page before the admission took place and counseling

- The infrastructure of the college good, probably one of the best in northeast.
Admission:
The reason I choose this college was because of the infrastructure.The infrastructure of the college is well build and the environment is also good.Its surroundings are well maintained clean and hygiene. The admission process is so easy like taking less than a hour if the counter is not crowded.We just need to fill an application form and take picture for id card ,pay admission fee with 1st installment.But uniform which is in college campus itself
