Library: With14636 books, the college has a rich source of knowledge. All the reference books required for the courses are available in the library. Apart from that, international magazines, journals, newspapers are available for the students willing to go beyond their discipline. Exam papers of previous exams are available for the students. A book bank is also available for the students with 4957 text books to infer from and various disciplines as well. Students can borrow books through this scheme for a long time basis in addition to the already existing library books.

A place of peace, to find your future.

Admission:

I chose this college because it is a government college and its quite affordable for anyone who wants to pursue their studies. Kohima Science College is a peaceful environment where the faculties and the students can interact really well. I applied for other 2 colleges but they had entrance exam which i couldnt make through but this college has no entrance exam. The admission process is easy, we just need to fill up our forms online and do fee payment offlind.

Likes

The books available in the library and the Cherry Blossoms
My circle of friends and seniors in the campus
Classmates and the chilling environment in the campus

Dislikes

The Ksc doesn't give proper information ahead
I dislike the cold weather and the rough wind in the campus
The washrooms are very dirty and it's so disappointing

Admission:

I applied admission in Kohima Science College and got selected smoothly. I didn't apply for any other college apart from kscj. The admission too went smoothly and we were given liberty to choose any honours sub according to our stream(since there's arts and science stream in kscj)

LIFE IN KSCJ

Likes

Freedom for students and the fact that there is no sale of tobacco products in and around the campus .

Dislikes

Bus service is very bad which creates alot of difficulties for town dwellers .
We spend 80 rs daily if we miss the bus or the bus is full since the number of buses and trips is limited.
Unavailability of running water in washrooms and no maintenance of toilet.

I chose this college as I didn't get selected in JEE exams and i believed that taking a gap would turn into a wastage of time so I chose this college and also it is quite reasonable compared to other private colleges. The selection of this college was based on our class 12 exam percentage , they only chose the students who is worthy of the college and passed with qualifying marks.

Good facility for NCC and many opportunities.
Good facility and good books in the library.

Dislikes

some department don't have proper class infrastructure.
The bus service for the college as it get's too crowded.
No proper supply of water in the washroom.

*I didn't not apply for any other colleges.This was my first preferred college. *I didn't apply for any other colleges so I didn't get rejected. *For my batch,we didn't give any exam,we were selected according to our 12th percentage.

How beautiful and gorgeous is college life

I also like how the students and teachers are all friendly and go well together with one another
I also love the environment, the location of the college surrounded with trees

Admission:

The other college which i applied for zunheboto government college and got a confirmed admission they even called me up but like the facilities out there was not good and so i had to choose kohima science College. So basically i never got rejected The admission was all based on first comes first and so i somehow managed to get in even with low percentage

Nice and peacefull environment, secluded from the main town

Dislikes

The bus services though affordable dont run on schedule as always
A 20 mins drive from a town which makes it difficult to acces all daily necessities

Admission:

I choose this college as it is the most reputed and longest running college in Nagaland, not forgettkng the high affordability. The teachers are well experienced and from around the country and hence more diversity and more room to learn and grow socially as well. It is a historical college with many prominent figures being an alumunus of this college. To get into the college pne has to go through an entrance exam after 12th or after B.sc if opting for masters degree. The cutoff of each entrance depends on the performances of each students applying jn that particular year.

Environmental friendly, good professor, good friends, and different activitiesies
Good infrastructure, good surroundings, friendly seniors, active participation in every events

Dislikes

Too much collection of money for fuundraise, for department hoodie and overall items are so costly
The lab maintenance especially chemistry lab, no proper Apparatus , no cleanlinessiness

Admission:

I opted for this college only since its my dream to get into this autonomous college when i was a child, thats the reason i work hard to get into this college and for that the mark percentage should be good and i really did it. Most of the time there used to be entrance exam to get seat but fortunately it was according to percentage in my term so i apply for online application for admission and after a months i was selected so i did my admission there. The procedure for the admission are as follows: we have to submit all the necessary documents and write our name in the enrollment form, after that on moving ahead we have to choose our major, minor,MDC,and AEC, the hostel firm was also given on that day itself and the mode of payment was through online and for cash payment we have to go to bank near the college and pay there. After payment there was a session for identity card making and after that measurements for college uniform. It was somehow nervous and interesting as it was my first time in such a big college

Likes

The environment of the college is really good
The facilities the college provide is very good

Dislikes

Not enough water in the washrooms which decrease hygiene

Admission:

The other colleges i applied were St. Joseph university dimapur, Downtown university Assam, kaziranga university Assam. The eligibility for my college to get admission is based on our percentage in the 12th boards On some years they also conduct entrance test for the admission process
