Likes

Affordability, as it is a state run institute the fees are minimal.
Highly qualified and experienced teachers from across the country

Dislikes

The bus services though affordable dont run on schedule as always
A 20 mins drive from a town which makes it difficult to acces all daily necessities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is on bar with rest of india as it follows UGC guidelines and standards for the syllabus. And almost all the teachers are well equipped and in bar with the syllabus being thaought. While there are some teachers who needs and update in knowledge and the changing schemes of the syllabus to meet the standards of the national level education system. Exams are quite frequent atleast 4-5 tests a month which goes on for 5 months and then there is the sememster exam at the 6th month. The difficulty of exam depends on the teacher as the questions are being set by them. I would rate the difficulty of exam to be 7/10

Theres are alot of things i personally like about my college .Firstly it is away from the busy streets of kohima it is located in village with clean air and exposure to greeneries there are many potential areas that can be better too
If u think of college life it is totally encouraged u choose this college it host many events related to students welbeing .One of the main events include winfest which is a festival in the college that focuses on sports culture and literature

Dislikes

The are few to no dislike but i wish the library books are updated as most of them are out of date
I also dont like the fact that there are less buses for the students

Course Curriculum Overview:

I believe that all courses has it pros and cons And it always depends on the person who is taking the course.Math is what ive loved since highshool never really thought of studying it my whole life but as of now i enjoy it Talking about scopes personally it has better scopes than the other courses There's a myth in my state that we are born to be bad at math but it all comes down to the person if there's interest there's hope As per the teaching methods i wish we have enough time to learn what we are studying than just mugging the notes and vomiting it in the exams just for cgpa I think that the teachers should give atleast 5 min at the end of the lectures for any doubt rather than just giving the notes and walking out

Review of my college that is Kohima Science College, Jotsoma (KSCJ)

Likes

The environment and the surrounding is quite calm and peaceful.
The lecturers are good in a sense like the way they teach us.

Dislikes

In our college the sports facilities are poor.
The events conducted are not upto the expectation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college offer 12 courses that is 12 departments of which I opted for mathematics because I'm more interested in practical rather than thoery papers. The teaching method is handwitten not computer basis. The exams duration is of 3hrs and the question level is moderate.

Likes

The bus facilites are provided for students who commute from remote places daily.
The overall experience is good with most of the facilities provided like library,wifi,backup generator for laboratories

Dislikes

Teaching methods could be a litle bit better.
The college should provide more buses for students, as there is very few.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was very helpful for learning step by step about the major we are pursuing,its comprehensiveness is easy to get.The curriculum is exactly bazed on real world scenarios but helps us get an idea of how it will be. One thing that could be improved is introducing more hands on experiments for the students. The timings of exams are well coordinated and its fair for everyone.

In our college the admission is less as compare to other private colleges
In our college professor are well qualified and have good teaching skills

Likes

Playing sports like football and basketball since they help us to exercise
Sightseeing the college surrounding have beautiful views

Dislikes

Scamming others like talking on their back
Hurting friends like there are always some misunderstandings so i never like to hurt them

I took geography as my honors since this course have better scope in most of the competitive exams. In this course we almost study everything about India and other countries all over the world which give us an extra advantage while preparing for competitive exams.

It's environment and campus.it has good weather through out the year
It have good academic history through the past years

It's lacking in infrastructures and low funds

Kohima science college structures

Likes

I have been here for 3years and the number of ladies compared to men is significantly higher.The ratio could be 70:30(girls:boys).
Teachers are friendly,campus is clean.we have programmes and functions which is a very good break after the pressure from academic stresses.

Dislikes

There is not much negative comments for me but one thing I would like to mention is that some students spitting in the bathroom and getting it stained.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been an individual that loved animal creatures. So I opt for the specific department that is zoology. The curriculum it's good it prepares is for real world is significant areas The practicals we do in our department have always be so useful in many areas.some improvement I would like to suggest is that the teaching method could be more of a making students understand type through oral or activies whether be it be in native language nagamese Hindi English or any other with respect to students comprehension..

My review of my college KSCJ

Likes

First I am impressed with the teaching faculty and the non teaching faculty
Satisfied with the college campus and the infrastructure though it needs more improvement

Dislikes

More Co-curricular activities needed to be added and given more attention on
Need to improve the lab facilities and the washroom facilities

I am a physics Honor's student and the teaching up to now is just fine though not very perfect, but can manage and cope with it. The exams are adjustable too as long as we are into our books so yeah it's fine for me
