The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, has announced the opening of the admission portal for the final round of 4 year UG Courses from Sept 11, 2023. Aspiring students can now apply for a variety of UG programs through the official website.

Assam Higher Education Admission Portal Opens for Final Round of UG Programs

New Delhi: The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, is set to initiate the admission portal for the last round of four-year undergraduate programs on September 11, 2023. Eligible candidates keen on pursuing various UG programs can submit their applications through the official website at directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in.

Assam's Education Minister, Ranoj Pegu, shared this information through a tweet, stating that the Assam Higher Education Admission portal will be opened today for the final round of admissions into 4-year undergraduate degree courses.

The deadline for students to cancel their admissions, having secured admission to other institutions via CUET or alternative selection methods was September 11, 2023. Submissions for these cancellations can be made on the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal between September 12 and September 14, 2023.

Further, the spot admissions will be conducted offline between September 13 and September 15, 2023, depending on seat availability. The portal will be open for updating fee waiver details from September 11 to September 15, 2023. For any final adjustments, corrections, or updates to admission discrepancies, applicants can use the portal from September 16 to September 17, 2023.

Moreover, it's important to note that admissions to UG programs in all affiliated colleges under Gauhati University, Dibrugarh University, and Bodoland University must exclusively go through the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal. This applies to admissions in UG programs offered by other State Universities and Autonomous Colleges in Assam as well, without any associated application fees, the DHE notified.
